Chapter Six: Sweet 15

Before the story begins, here is what has happened between this time skip: You and Sans started to grow closer as you both became teenagers. Asriel also began to like you. Sans would get jealous when Asriel took you somewhere. You were really good friends with Alphys, and Mettaton was recently made. Undyne was a good friend too. Papyrus was still himself. That is all. Nothing big happened.

As the years went on, you could only think about returning to the surface with everyone you loved. Each year gave way to more determination growing within your heart. You were finally ready. It was your 15th birthday. This was it.

Gaster was calling everyone for your party, while Sans and Papyrus were decorating the house. You were watching Sans with a smile. He's so sweet at times... You often thought about him. You had a slight crush on him.

Gaster got off the phone and said Toriel would bake a cake.

"Yay! I love her cakes!" You exclaimed.

You were so excited. This was gonna be so much. For everyone. You went up to Gaster and asked the following question.

"Am I finally old enough to help you help everyone get to the surface? I wanna start that tomorrow. I want everyone to be free."

He could only smile. After a moment he spoke.

"Of course...you are old enough. I'm very glad you want to help us. (Y/n)...such a sweet young lady now. We may start tomorrow. Until then...Happy Birthday my dear."

He hugged you. You hugged back. It was a very warm and sweet embrace.

After awhile, everyone came to your house. Asriel saw you and immediately walked to where you were. He smiled and had a flower in hand.

"Here you are, Birthday Girl."

He handed you the flower. You smiled and slightly blushed.

"Why thank you my good sir."

You both giggled. From a distance you saw Sans. He seemed alone, and was watching you two. He seemed....jealous.

You and Asriel continued to chat. Eventually he had to go and help his mother.

Sans noticed and went over. He smiled more so than usual.

"hey...happy birthday (y/n)...i um...have something for you,but i wanna give it to you later. is that okay?"

"Uh...yeah. Thanks...you and Asriel are so sweet."

"well....im better. just saying..."

"Are you now? You lazybones."

"im not always lazy..."

"Really?"

"wanna bet?"

"Maybe later...I can tell you have something up your sleeve."

" heh...you're smart."

After that he walked away. That was a bit strange. But okay. Now is the time to party. Party hardy. Party til you drop. You were so ready.

You pointed at Blooky to start up some tunes. He was a great DJ. Everyone started to dance and have fun. You were so thrilled and happy beyond compare. This was a great party, there's even a surprise from Sans at the end.

After a bit of dancing, Toriel emerged from the kitchen with a marvelous cake. Everyone gathered around and sang to you.

"Happy Birthday dear (y/n)..."

You smiled and blew out the candles. You made a wish.

I wish that I will be able to help free all my friends...and family.

During cake you opened your gifts. Undyne got you some tea, Alphys gave you some anime, Mettaton gave you a dress, Papyrus gave you a puzzle, Asriel gave you a cute tiara, Toriel and Asgore gave you a sweater, and lastly Gaster. He gave you a very pretty ring (like a promise ring). He said he had help to make it, and it was beautiful. You were so happy...

Soon after that, everyone had to leave. You said your goodbyes to them and went into your room. Someone knocked.

"Come in"

"hey..." Sans walked in.

"Hey Sans." You smiled.

"hey...well I have something for you."

He pulled out a small box. Inside it was a necklace. The necklace had a pendant in the shape of a skull. It was pretty though.

"Oh Sans...thank you. Where did you get it?"

"i made it....with my magic."

"Wow...!"

"and that's not all...."

"Wha—?!"

He kissed you.
