I was sitting in my throne thinking about what ever came to mind, mostly the past, when the doors to my throne room were opened. Matthew, my most loyal soldier entered the room.

"I have bad news, my lord."

I loved the nickname my loyalist gave me, it made me feel powerful, better than others.

"What is it?" I asked, unconcerned.

"Jhana has," he gulped, "defected." He said, flinching as he said the last word.

I was silent for a moment, Jhana was a highly ranked General in my army. She had access to nearly every file for attack plans, important bases, and she knows about our top secret weapon we were almost finished constructing.

"Are you one-hundred percent sure she defected?" I asked, calmly.

"Yes sir, we saw the helicopter as it left. Sir there is another thing you should know."

"And that is?"

"The one that helped her escape, we have confirmed who it is."

"Well, who was it then?"

"It was Rachel, sir, Rachel Finn."

Rachel's P.O.V.-

Last night when we finally got back, we set up a place for Jhana to sleep. After talking to her we found out her name was Jhana and why she wanted to defect. The conversation went something like this:

"What's your name?" Ashlyn asked.

"Jhana." She answered robotically.

"So why did you defect?" Chloe asked.

"Well," she thought for a moment, "I guess I finally was able to clear my head, and realize what Jeremiah was doing is wrong."

"What do you mean, "clear my head"?" I asked, curious.

"Well, when someone gets high enough in the ranks, Jeremiah decides that he doesn't want to risk them defecting, like I did. So, he brainwashes them, hoping to force them to agree with his methods.

"Some are more than happy to comply, but people like me fight back. But, eventually, he was able to brainwash me. Sometimes I still feel the effects of it, but they fade away more and more everyday."

After the conversation it was hard for me to fall asleep, if she still feels the effects of the brainwashing, doesn't that mean she could wake up at any point in time and kill us all?

These thoughts kept me up all night, Great, another night of no sleep whatsoever. My alarm finally went off and I got ready for the day, we had to call the Corporal and give him a mission report, fun fun.

Don't get me wrong, the Corporal is good at what he does, but he just doesn't like me and my friends for some reason.

My friends followed me to the table as did Jhana. I called the Corporal, and waited. It wasn't long before his face appeared over the table and he almost immediately said, "Mission report."

I responded, "It was a success, no injuries and the officer is safely with us."

"Good. Today's mission is simple, you, and you alone, will drive the officer to HQ, then you will return here and pack your bags."

"If you don't mind me asking, why would I pack my bags?" I asked, confused.

"Did I say just you, sorry, I meant all of you pack your bags. You no longer are with the resistance." He smirked.

"Wait, what do you mean?!" I yelled.

"Do not raise your voice to me! And you heard me. Once the officer is safely at HQ you and your friends are to leave, and never return to the resistance."

"But why?"

"You and your friends have failed to many missions, sixteen to be exact, and so, the resistance has decided that you are not good enough to stay here. Now hurry up and bring the officer here, thats an order!" He hung up.

I stared at the empty space where Corporal William just was two seconds ago. Everyone was silent, what do you say to something like that?

"Well, it could have been worse." Leave it to Jeremy to try and cheer everyone up.

"How," I asked," could it possibly be worse? We were just kicked out of our only means to destroy Jeremiah." I said.

"Well, that may be true, but we have something the resistance doesn't." He said.

"And what is that?" I asked, unconvinced.

"Her." He stated as he pointed in the direction of non-other that Jhana.

"She has all the information we need to sneak into Jeremiah's lair and capture him. Right?" He said, directing the last part to Jhana.

She thought for a moment, "Yes, I believe I do." She said.

I took a moment to process this information, "You realize that if we do this, we will be fugitives." I said slowly.

There was a short moment of silence, "Yes, but the reward would be worth it. Can you imagine the look on Corporal William's face if we were the ones to defeat Jeremiah?"

I thought about it for a moment, "Well, if we are going to do this, we all have to be in. Just remember, we will be on the run not only from Jeremiah's army, but also from the resistance."

Everyone was quiet for a moment. Then, "I'm in, the look on Corporal's face would be so worth it." Chloe said, and put her hand in the center of the table.

"I'm defiantly in." Jeremy said and put his hand on top of Chloe's.

"I'm in." Bella said, also placing her hand on the center of the table, "Once a rebel, always a rebel." She stated.

Jhana put her hand on the table, "I may of not known you all very long, but I would do anything to help those who helped me."

"I'm in." Ashlyn said, placing her hand on top of Jhana's.

Everyone faced me. I made eye contact with each and everyone of them. They really want to do this.

"Let's do it." I said as I placed my hand on the table.

Everyone cheered as we all raised our hands and went to pack our things. Well everyone but me, I stood there for a moment and thought about what we were going to do, and the possible revenge that I could finally get.

We really are going to do this.

"You gonna pack or just stand there like a statue?" Jeremy walked over and asked.

"I was just thinking." I answered.

"About what?" He asked, curiosity laced into his voice.

"The past." I answered thoughtfully.

"Not being specific there."

I looked at him and said, "I know." and with that, I walked off to pack.
