When Freddie left with his mom, Louis decided to get some errands done, so he grabbed his keys, got into his car, and turned the radio on. Trying to keep his mind blank, he tuned out the radio until he heard

"I have loved you all along/ And I miss you/Been far away for far too long..."

"No!" Louis yelled in his car to himself as he quickly changed the station.

"There has to be a better song on than this one, anything but that song" Louis muttered to himself. Flipping to another station he heard

"...Forget the urgency but hurry up and wait...my heart has started to separate...oh oh oh...be my baby...oh oh oh...be my baby...I'll look after you."

"Are you kidding me?" Louis said, raising his voice once again. "These songs aren't even popular anymore. Why do these stations have to play only songs that remind me of her? That's it for the radio right now."

For the rest of his drive he drove in silence, his mind racing so much, he could not seem to concentrate on any coherent thought. Words from both songs were repeating in his head along with years of memories. The last thought he had before he reached the store was that he wished Freddie had left well enough alone.

"Ok, I just have to figure out where she lives..." Freddie whispered to himself as he combed the Internet for any and all information on Eleanor. He had already found out that Eleanor used to live in Manchester, England, but he wasn't positive if she lived there anymore.

Scrolling through pictures and muttering to himself, he became lost in his own world until he heard his mom's voice calling up the stairs.

"Freddie I made you a sandwich because I don't care how important that school assignment is, you should eat. It's not like you to forget that. But because you are so dedicated to your schoolwork for once, I'll let you eat in your room this one time. Here you go, turkey and cheese just how you like it. So, are you making any progress on...whoa! Why are you looking at pictures of her? That does not look like a school project, Freddie! What are you doing?"

Freddie's head whipped around to see that his mother had set down a plate with a sandwich on his desk, and was looking back and forth from the computer to him with an angry expression.

Sheepishly, he said the first thing that came to his head.

"Oh uh...just checking out some hot chick I found online?" Freddie said as more of a question than a statement.

"Wow, some school project. I know better than that, Freddie. Who told you about her? Tell me the truth" Briana said sternly as she glared at her son.

"I was cleaning up Dad's attic, and I found a picture of her and dad, and I just wanted to know more about her. I asked Dad about her, and he was so tight-lipped about her, that I just wanted to find more about Eleanor myself."

"Why? She's not a part of your Dad's life anymore and hasn't been for like 20 years, so why does she matter to you?"

"I don't know. I just need to find out more about her...I mean she was kind of...almost my mom, from what I heard from Dad."

"That is not true! Your dad was way over her, and trust me, he still is. So don't get any crazy ideas, ok? You need to leave well enough alone."

"How do you even know what she's like, mom? You never met her. She seems nice...and I can definitely see why Dad would fall for her. Plus they dated for three and a half years."

"You don't have to tell me all of this. I know enough about her, more than I care to know. And quite frankly, Eleanor is none of your business. So I suggest you forget about her and leave the past in the past. Now, if you don't actually have a big school assignment, I'd like to take you shopping. Please be ready in ten minutes."

"Alright fine, but I'm still intrigued about Eleanor, Mom. I think she and Dad could you know..."

"Don't even finish that sentence, young man. Your Dad can find his own girlfriend or wife or whatever. He doesn't need you to play matchmaker. Now, you've wasted five minutes talking, so hurry up please."

Freddie and his mom went shopping for most of the weekend, much to his dismay, but his mind was still whirling with possible scenarios of how to get in touch with Eleanor and get her to meet with his Dad again. He knew it was quite a long shot, but he needed to see if his Dad could love again.
