The ghost (poem)

534 17 6

Her lifeless eyes
Haunted him
Like the dead of night
He kept watching
To see if they'd
Come alive
But they never did

The blue turned to
A searing black
And the blank stare
Made him nervous

He wanted to help her
But she seemed too far gone

The ghost in his dreams
Was unreachable
And he hated
Going to sleep

*I changed the eye color from blue in the poem to hazel/brown in the story since that's Eleanor's eye color.
