When I returned home that night, I just dropped everything onto my bedroom floor and lay on my bed. I closed my eyes and was about to drift off when Lace burst in asked me to help her with her homework.

"Lace please not now. I want to sleep," I said.

"Hmm... okay," Lace replied.

She walked out. I stared at the ceiling thinking about the girl I spent my day with today and what happened whilst I was with her. I really really like her, why would I feel like I want to hurt her? Us vampires can be with humans but it takes some getting used to and you need to be so careful. I figured that its too early to confess my feelings for Emily and it may just be a phase anyway but I wonder if she's feeling the same way about me. I don't want to creep her out and I really don't want to say the wrong things like I usually do, especially when I'm nervous.

I need some advice.

The next day I got dropped at school along with my brother and my sister. I saw Emily leaning against a wall listening to her music. I smiled as I watched her enjoy the company of her music from the other side of the parking lot. She was still beautiful, I wasn't dreaming. She really is a beautiful girl. I watched as an older guy walked over to her. I focused my hearing.

"Where is it?" He asked.

"I-I don't have any money today," Emily replied.

I could tell she was scared but what does she need money for? I decided to step in anyway.

"Hi Emily, who's this?" I asked. I stared at the guy and he stared back moving away slowly.

"That was just a guy who takes my money. I don't know why he picks on me," Emily frowned.

"Well he wont pick on you again okay? I'll teach him,"
