Chapter Ten: Marrige

->The wedding<-

Everything was set, The vows, the cake, the tables and chairs, the dress, the tux, you name it. The bride and groom were in separate rooms so that they would be surprised when they saw their 'spouse to be'. The wedding started at 4:00 p.m..

->Ronnie's room, 3:55 p.m.<-

"So Ronnie are you exited?"
"Yes nana i have been waiting for this my entire life"
"Thank you for choosing me to be the maid of honour cousin Veronica"
"No problem Kate but please, call me Ronnie" then Ronnie had a giggle. She remembered the last time she told someone to call her Ronnie was one of the maids in the story book.
"Whats so funny Ronnie?"
"Nothing nana, just thinking about some old memories with Joey."
"Oh, thats nice."
"Oh my goodness cousin Ver- i mean cousin Ronnie, the wedding is starting"
"Showtime"
"Pardon?"
"Oh i don't know it is something i have been wanting to do"

->Joeys room, 3:55 p.m.<-

"You ready Joey?"
"As ready as i'll ever be dad"
"Wheres the best man?"
"I guess i never found one"
"Sorry i'm late Joey!"

It was Don. You remember Don right? he was the guy on the bus making fun of Joey and he was also his ex best friend.

"What are you doing here don?"
"I'm here to be your best man. Remember when we were just little kids and we made a promise that if one of us got married then the other would be the best man?"
"Not at all"
"Well Don hughman never breaks a promise."
"Don this is really nice of you but what you did to me really hurt and is hard to forgive this easily"
"Well do you really want to have no best man for your first and possibly last wedding? dude this is the girl of your dreams. Don't you think she would love for you to have a best man?"

Then Joey thought about it, and thought about it, and thought about it. then he realized something, he missed having Don as a friend. Sure Ronnie was the greatest best friend in the entire world but they are getting married now and what if things don't work out? what if things end badly? he would have no one.

"Alright Don but you have three last chances alright?"
"Alright and hey, schools out I'm done with popularity"
"Hey its great that you two finally made up but its showtime"
"Oh right! thanks dad, and thanks Don"
"Forget about me and go get married!"

Joey was up front and Ronnie was walking down the aisle. Nothing mattered anymore. She was about to get married to her best friend in the whole world. Then she saw Don in the best man position, right beside Joey.
Then her and Joey had their first telepathic conversation
"What is he doing here?"
"We are friends again!"
"But he used you!"
"Yes but school is over, he doesn't need the popularity anymore anyway!"
"Are those your words or his?"
"Both"
"Alright but he has three chances left and that is it!"
"Those are my exact words"
'Sigh'
"Hey Ronnie guess what?"
"What?"
"This is the first telepathic conversation we have ever had!"
"Sweet!"
And then they were done. Finally she got up to her husband to be and the preacher started. But there was another telepathic conversation.
"We are finally her Ronnie!"
"Dude this isn't a conversation between you and Ronnie, its between you and me Don"
"What? how?"
"No time to explain. Vows are coming up"
"We chose not to do that stuff"
"Oh"
"Ya"
"So did you know that Ronnie's parents are dead?"
"Yes Don i am her best friend"
"And she lives with a whore of an aunt?"
"Yes Don"
"And a stripper step uncle?"
"He isn't her uncle just a boyfriend of the aunt"
"Oh. What colour are her eyes?"
"Grey"
"What is her favourite colour?"
"Black and light blue?"
"Favourite number?"
"13"
"Wants to have kids?"
"She doesn't know yet"
"Well you really are getting married. She is a great pick man. Enjoy"
"Thanks Don"
"And do you Joey Bows take Ronnie Willing to be you wife?"
"I do"
"And do you, Ronnie Willing take Joey Bows to be your husband? You will then be Ronnie Bows."
"I do"
"Then by the power vested in me, i now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride!"
The two lovebirds kissed and the families went wild. They immediately went to their apartment to have the after wedding party.

"Hello everyone my name is Margaret, i am Joeys mother and Ronnie's mother in law! anyway we are about to open gifts to get in line!"

There wasn't much people at the wedding, just joeys parents, Don, Joeys aunt, Ronnie's grandparents, Ronnie's cousin and of course, Ronnie and Joey.

First up was Ronnie's parents, they got the couple a toaster oven.
Next was Ronnie's cousin, she got a cross with jesus on it.
After her was Joeys aunt, she got a blender.
Up next was Ronnie's grandparents, they got a popcorn maker.
Joeys parents were after them and they got them a bed set. King size.
And finally was Don. I will let you listen to the conversation.
"Don you didn't have to"
"Oh but Ronnie, i insist!"
She opened it and saw a book.
"Oh my gosh Don thank you so much i have been needing to read but Joey just keeps saying that the library is closed! what foes that have to do with anything?"
She hugged Don and then they all talked and laughed and one by one they all left. Soon enough it was just the newly wed couple.
"You wanna start the book don't you"
"Very much so yes"
"Alright but then we have to start packing for our honeymoon!"
"Alright alright"
This time she didn't even bother reading the back pr front cover she just opened it right up. And she disappeared.

"Hey Ronnie? Ronnie?!"
He opened the book and disappeared.
"Oh crap! here we go again!"
