Freaking finally! This has been long overdue, and I apologize greatly for it. I've had trouble getting back into writing all the time, so just bear with me. Updates are now going to be sporadic and probably a month in between. I'll try my best to update more often, I promise. Feedback is encouraged as well!
After Raythe's talk with the Vanguard they had given him a voucher for the Gunsmith to replace the old Khostov Auto Rifle he'd picked up at the Wall. Though the new weapon was better than the Khostov, he decided to keep it as a memory of what happened in the past. Besides, Raythe thought, might as well see if I can still modify equipment as well as I used to. With that in mind he put on a small smile and continued to the Gunsmith, ignoring the looks of confusion from others.
As Raythe approached the Gunsmith an Exo said to him "So, you must be the new Guardian?" Raythe nodded and replied "Yeah. I have a voucher from the Vanguard for a new gun." He handed the voucher over to the Exo, who Raythe assumed was the Gunsmith. He had blue paint with a yellow stripe going down the center of his head, with spikes on the sides of his head and bright blue eyes. He pulled out four different weapons and laid them on the table in front. "Have your pick Guardian."
Raythe carefully studied each weapon before him, trying to find one that suited his style. The first one was an automatic; low impact, good rate of fire, decent reload, decent range and somewhat decent stability, along with a decent magazine size. The next one was a hand cannon; high impact, low reload and rate of fire, decent range, low-ish stability, and low magazine size. The third was a pulse rifle; decent rate of fire and magazine size, kind of low impact, reload is decent, and stability is okay with range a little below. The last one was a scout rifle; good impact, good rate of fire, decent reload, pretty good range, and good stability. Raythe looked over each weapon carefully, matching which weapon would be better for his style in different situations in his head.
Raythe decided to choose the weapon that would best suit his fighting style. "I'll take the scout rifle." The Exo looked to the weapon and back to me. "I honestly didn't think you'd pick that one. Not many people like scout rifles." Raythe shrugged in response as he took the offered gun from the weapon smith. "Guess I'm one of a kind, then." "Yeah, I suppose so. You stay safe out there, Guardian. Who knows what's out there in the Darkness." Raythe scoffed, saying "With my track record, I doubt I'll be any safer than I am on the battlefield, but I'll try." The gunsmith nodded and Raythe left to check out his new quarters within the central building of the Tower.
When Raythe entered his quarters he was kind of surprised at the quality of everything. The main color white, but there was other colors. If the Tower can afford this sort of luxury, Raythe thought, then why don't they use the money to fund the war effort? Sighing, Raythe set down his things and sat down to rest.
A little nap wouldn't hurt, Raythe thought as he fell asleep.
So yeah, I know it's kinda short, but I have a bit of writers block, I play my Xbox quite a bit, and I read a lot.
Anyways, until next time!
Update: Updates will be very sporadic and unscheduled. I am not giving up on this story though!
