It's quite a funny thing, really. How you can know someone and it'll change your whole life.

But it can also crush you.

And right now, Avi wasn't sure which one was happening to him.

He had been on the pills for months, and while he took them, they made him feel nothing. Just numbness and oblivion.

The only thing-person- that could make him feel anything, was the star football player. Kevin Olusola.

But he was caught in his world of cheerleaders, fake friends, and alcohol to even notice Avi.

But who even noticed Avi anyway? The harsh reality is; Avi only ever went to school for his guitar class, and his parents were always late picking him up. Avi wasn't a well known kid around the school.

He was pretty certain that Kevin knew who he was, but that was just because he showed up to football games, with a bottle full of green tablets that calmed him down. And the football team liked picking on Kevin about him, because they somehow knew that Avi was attracted to Kevin.

Yet, Kevin wasn't attracted to Avi.

Which made Avi feel some type of way, because it certainly didn't make him feel numb.

Because he was too familiar with that feeling.

Either way, Avi had a fascination with Kevin, and he couldn't get over it.

Even though he should.

But he couldn't.

Because Kevin was the football star.
