Prompt: I really want "meet ugly" with Older!Damian where "You saw me reading the same book you did and we got into a heated discussion on how much it sucks" AU Pretty please I love your blog ❤️❤️ (requested by diana-swan)

"Don't waste your time. That book is horrible." A tall, dark, muscular man sat beside you suddenly. You gave him a hard look, silently telling him to leave you alone. Even if you were stewing in anger over the book you were currently reading, that didn't mean you wanted to be bothered by a random stranger.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to approach a woman unsolicited?" You bit when he didn't go away.

"I'm just trying to get my one good deed in for the day." He shrugged ignoring your annoyance towards his presence.

"Oh pardon me, I wasn't aware they made telling someone what they should or shouldn't do a good deed." You shot back.

"Tell me that you're enjoying it and I will leave." He said waiting expectantly with an arrogant smirk. You wanted to slap it off of his face. You desperately wracked your mind for any part of the book that you enjoyed, just to shove it in his smug arrogant face. But you were drawing a blank. Your continued silence only served to make him more smug and you more annoyed.

"It's bound to get better." You tried to defend the horrid book.

"It doesn't." He insisted. You sighed and shut the book in your lap.

"Ok, it's pretty bad." You relented with a roll of your eye. Before you knew it you were actually talking with the jerk about how horrible this book was and even stranger you began to enjoy his company.

"Here's my number," You say writing your cell number down on a spare scrap of paper. "You know just in case you find the need to fill your quota for good deeds again."

"I've already dissuaded you from wasting your precious time. How else could I possibly help you?" He asked, leaning forward towards you.

"Well you could start by taking me out on a date." You offered with a coy little grin. "There are plenty of horrible books out there that you need to warn me about and we'll need a good long date to even begin to scratch the surface."

"We might even need a few dates ... to sufficiently cover the topic." He agreed with a grin that didn't seem quite so annoying anymore.

"But of course." You nodded in agreement. "But a word of advice for the future: ladies don't like being bothered by strangers."

"But then I wouldn't have ever met you." He said smoothly.
