24/7 heaven- bts
Eunjin POV
Over the course of the week after our promise, we worked on our project every opportunity we got. Neither of us were very good students, so if we failed on a project that's a major grade, we'd really be in trouble. Soyoung and I had also begun to sit with 'Bangtan,' as they had called themselves, at lunch everyday. Since we have to work together, Taehyung and I had been talking a lot more, but I just know (and I'm a little scared honestly) that we'll stop talking after we've turned in our project. At least everything will go back to normal after this. Wasn't that what I wanted? This is all I could think about on my way to school today. That, and the fact that its Friday, of course.
I arrive at school a little early, so I begin to look around for Soyoung. I don't look for Bangtan because I still don't feel comfortable around them without Soyoung or Taehyung. To my horror, I'm spotted by a smiling Googie, however, Soyoung appears behind him, and I breathe a sigh of relief.
"Good morning, guys."
"Morning, noona!" says Jungkook, a bit too enthusiastically for such an early time, but hey maybe he's a morning person. Different strokes for different folks.
"Good morning, Miss Piggy*."
I smile as I prepare a fire comeback for Soyoung, when I'm interrupted by two things running down the hall, yelling.
"KOOKIE! SOYOUNG! GET AWAY FROM THAT THING!"
"IT'S INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS!"
I turn around slowly, rolling my eyes and staring daggers. This must have been terrifying for J-Hoe and the alien, as they stopped right in front of me and began apologizing immediately. We laugh for what seems like forever all together. I'm in the middle of a circle of friends, and our laughter is light and fluffy and happy and I enjoy it more than I realize. We chat some more all together, Taehyung and Hoseok teasing me for being so short and looking so tired all the time, and Jungkook and Soyoung laughing with us and making their own commentaries about my bullies.
The bell rings, and we all walk to class together until we enter and go our own ways. The teacher comes in and reminds us that our projects are due today. I look to Taehyung expectantly, waiting for him to take out the project, only to find that he is looking at me the same way. "What are you doing? Take out the project," I tell him.
"What do you mean? We left it at your house last, remember?"
I try my hardest to remember the last time we worked on the project, and the last time I saw it. But the only thing I remember from that day is seeing my queen Taeyeon's solo stage and thinking there could be no perfection but her. I could actually watch her solo stages all day and I would if I could since it would help her. Except, Taeyeon is successful, out of school, and doesn't need my help, while my whole life right now revolves around this grade and I'm certain she doesn't care about that. I laugh to myself until Taehyung reminds me where I am with a nudge.
"Eunjin-ah. Did you forget the project?"
I'm about to answer that I did when the teacher walks to our desks and asks us for it. I look at Taehyung and then at her apprehensively. As I'm about to tell her that I left it at home, I hear Taehyung giggling and taking something out of his backpack.
"Here it is, Miss Kim."
She smiles at us and continues on her way, and Taehyung looks at me with his box smile and erupts into laughter.
"AHHAHA! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR FACE!" It's true that I've been told that I had some pretty weird facial expressions, but I didn't think it was to this extent. All I do is pout at him and try not to laugh.
