Eunjin POV

Friday. The best day of the week. The best day to ever be invented. Fridays are great because its a fun close to a stressful school and work week. When I arrived at school, all my friends were already there, save for Taehyung who I didn't expect to show up anymore anyways. They were all in good moods today, and seemed funnier than usual. I laughed so much at lunch, milk shot out my nose. In short, school was lit, and I never thought that would happen.

When the school day was finally over, I said goodbye to everyone and walked with Hoseok, since we had agreed to hang out together. I followed him and his silliness, wondering where we were going and laughing all the way. Finally we arrived at a different arcade from the one we went to on Thursday. This arcade was huge, and it had rows and rows of different games. After eating the most delicious pizza I had ever tasted, we played games I never even knew existed.

"Jinnie! Let's play that dancing game, I'm gonna demolish you!" he said excitedly.

"BET! I'm pretty confident in my dancing skills, I mean look at how well I dance," I said as I did a really ugly dance.

He laughed and said,"Yeah right, you're gonna wish you weren't born. Let's make a bet, then. If I win, you have to do whatever I say for a week."

"And if I win?"

"I'll do whatever you want for a week, duhh."

So we began our competition, and of course he beat me so bad, I wished I hadn't bet anything. He's an amazing dancer, apparently. How did I not know?

We proceeded to play skee ball, a game that, once again, he was better at playing than me.

"You're doing it all wrong, Jinnie! Here look," he put his arms around me to help me aim making my face turn very red and warm," throw it like this." I turned my head slightly, and was suddenly very aware of our height difference. This was because I was met with a face full of his very nice smelling neck when I turned around. When I finally scored, he turned me to face him and his wide, heart shape smile and shook my shoulders in victory.

"Seee. That's how you play. wAiT. Why is your face so red? You're not falling for me are you~?" he asked in a teasing voice, making me go a deeper shade of red.

"Yah! You wish! It's just hot in here that's all!"

After that, it was getting pretty late, so he walked me home, reminded me of our bet, and hugged me as he said goodbye. I walked into my empty house tiredly and sighed contently. I was ready to go lay down and watch kpop videos when my phone vibrated, signalling I had gotten a message. When I looked at who sent it, my heart skipped.

'Taehyung?'

I opened it without hesitation.

Tae: Meet me at the park
Sent 9:45
Me: Yah don't you know I'm busy
Sent 9:47
Tae: You have no life see you in a bit
Sent 9:48

I sighed as I walked to my room and in front of my mirror, how does he know me that well? I took a long stare at myself, realizing my palms were sweaty and my stomach was doing all sorts of flips. I was so happy to hear from Taehyung again, but I also felt nervous for some reason. I freshened up a bit and headed towards the park through the freezing night. On my way there, I could only think about how Taehyung will be like as I puffed small breaths of warm air. Will he look stressed like before, or will he be the happy Tae I was used to and missed?

Finally, I arrived at the park and looked around for Tae. I spotted him sitting on the swings and approached him. He looked up at me with a soft smile when he noticed I was there. I was relieved to see that his face looked visibly healthier and brighter than before and my heart seemed to skip a mile a minute at how excited I was to see him.

"Eunjin, you actually came. I didn't think you would show up at this hour to be honest. I'm glad you're here," he said with his rectangular smile.

Shivering I said," I couldn't just leave you hanging. How did you know I wasn't doing anything, though? That was creepily accurate,"

He laughed," You're a grandma and you're so easy to predict. That's why," he gets up, walks towards me, and stuffs me in the black hoodie he was holding," I brought you this." I blushed when I realized I hadn't brought my coat or his, and that I was borrowing his clothes for the second time already.

"Thanks, Tae. I'll wash the hoodie and the coat and bring them to you on Monday," I say smiling at him. He laughs and pats my head.

"Tae? Since when do you call me Tae? I like it. And actually I want you to keep that hoodie 'cause I know you've been lonely without my incredible presence this week. It must have been hard to not see my beautiful charms everyday, so I'll allow you to be a creep and sniff my hoodie whenever you miss me."

I laugh and punch him lightly as we walk back to sit at the swings,"hEy. You might be joking but you have no idea how worried I was about you these two weeks! I could not stop thinking about you," I gasped at my own words, mentally cursing myself for saying that out loud. He threw his head back in laughter, and I couldn't help but join him.

I ruffled my own hair in fake frustration, still laughing. "You know what I meant you dummy!"

"Yup, I know exactly what you meant. You just confessed your undying love to me!"

"Nah, you see, I don't fall for children such as yourself. Plus I don't date people less attractive than me," I state matter-of-factly, despite knowing that he was someone so attractive, not just to me, that people stopped and stared.

"You're like a year older than me," he says still laughing," plus aren't you always calling yourself an egg?? If you're an egg then I'm a potato at best and I'd say potatoes are equally if not slightly more attractive than eggs!"

"That's a matter of opinion, kid."

Our laughter dies down, leaving small smiles on our faces. I looked down as I swung slightly before I remembered where I was. Actually, I didn't even know why I was here to begin with.

"So why did you call me out here?" It seems I pulled him out of deep thought because he looks up at me with a slightly open mouth and small 'huh' before he realizes what I had asked.

"Oh, I just wanted to see you." These simple words were enough to make my stomach become a gymnast and my face become a tomato with very serious mental issues.

"Aish, you're so cute!! What's that face for? I think you really are falling for me!" I must be doing something wrong, that's the second time a guy has told me that today, but it's the first time I've felt like I do now, ever.

I'm lost in thought until he grabs my wrist and pulls me up, saying it's too late for us to be out. We begin to walk to my house, and we're two streets away from it when I realize that my wrist, which he was previously holding, has become my hand magically. When we arrive at my house, I break the silence with a question that I very much want an answer to.

"Are you gonna disappear again after today?" I ask while looking down. He doesn't respond and instead hugs me, burying my face into his chest. It was a feeling I didn't know I was longing for.

He pulls away from the hug, still holding my shoulders and looking down at me,"Oh man, I just realized something. Never mind forget that. I won't disappear anymore, I promise." He sticks out his index finger, and I know I can trust him now. I take his finger gladly, and smile at him.

Still holding onto his finger, I say,"Alright, that's a promise, Kim Taehyung! You can't back out now!"
