"You did what?" Chelsie shouted and shoved her spoon into the tub of vanilla bean ice cream she'd been cradling all evening.

"I slept with Jonathan." I replied, less sheepishly than last time. "Three times." I added and held up three fingers.

"Sweetie, you just met the man." Chelsie scolded sternly. "Do you even know his middle name?"

"It starts with an 'm' - I know that much."

Chelsie rolled her eyes at me and stifled a laugh.

"Please," She scoffed. "anyone with eyes can clearly read 'Jonathan M. Pierce' etched across his office door. Nice try, but no."

"Well what does knowing his middle name have to do with anything?" I snapped and took a spoonful of ice cream from Chelsie's tub.

Defensively, she withdrew her ice cream and clutched it close to her chest as she faked a cat and clawed at me.

"Don't be selfish." I joked as I licked my spoon clean.

"Maybe you need to learn to be a little more stingy with your cookie instead of fucking three times in one day." Chelsie added.

"I wouldn't necessarily call it 'fucking.'" I replied as my eyes drifted skywards.

"Well it sure as hell wasn't making love!" Chelsie shouted as she waved her spoon around in the air.

"It was just sex." I replied with a seemingly nonchalant shrug and glanced over at Chelsie in my peripheral.

She wasn't buying it.

"Until one of you starts to form feelings for the other one." Chelsie protested as she narrowed her eyes at me and pointed a premature, accusatory finger in my face. "Then what?"

I waved it away and gave her an eye roll.

"There's nothing wrong with having fun." I added nonchalantly and laid down on Chelsie's lap.

My friend let out a defeated sigh and patted my head as she set the tub of ice cream down on the side table.

"Look Michelle, I know the man is hot but I smell trouble."

"Ooof course you do." I groaned aloud and pulled a throw pillow over my face.

"I'm serious." Chelsie replied, suddenly serious, as she tore the pillow from my face and smacked me with it.

I feigned pain and clutched my head as I let out a long groan.

"Must you be so abusive?" I mumbled and glanced up at Chelsie whose expression still hadn't changed.

Why on earth did she look so pissed off? It's not like she was a saint either.

"I'm worried about you, sweetie." Chelsie replied as she began to play with my hair.

"Don't be." I said gently and patted her arm for reassurance. "I'm on the pill so there's no need to worry about a pregnancy scare either."

"Well I'd like to formally meet him." Chelsie blurted out and looked down at me with pleading eyes.

"No." I began and sat up shaking my head. "No, no, no."

"Why not?" Chelsie whined and turned her body towards me with her hands in her lap. "I have to meet him some time - might as well be now!"

"We aren't even dating!" I admitted aloud and nearly rolled my eyes at the look on Chelsie's face.

"So you admit he's a booty call?" She questioned and rose a brow.
