Lana Abernathy didn't give two shits about Derry. She hated the place. She couldn't wait to grow up and be done with it.
Her twin Clarissa was her only true friend. After her death, Bev was the only person that Lana would regularly hang out with and smoke a few cigs. She'd even consider her to be her best friend now. Despite her death, Lana recovered and remained sane.
Until the day she saw IT.
She didn't know how it was possible that IT could tap into her head and look at her worst nightmare but somehow it did. That thing - the clown - it wasn't a human. It was Clarissa. It was a monster.
Feeling more unstable than ever, Lana tries to piece together the utter delusion that she managed to escape.
After she meets the Losers' she starts to think maybe she isn't as insane she previously thought she was and maybe - just maybe - the delusion was real.
One loser in particular Richie Tozier, with his thick glasses and motormouth manages to charm her all from the first time he calls her 'darlin'. Yes, he's annoying as hell but some how deep down in her lonely heart she finds room for him and the rest of the Losers.
