Chapter 7 - Tears

Ann's P.O.V
"It's ready!" I said as I brought the pizza to the living room's coffee table. "Yay!" The guys all said at the same time as they sat around the small table. "Well, enjoy your meal!" I said. I turn around and start walking to the kitchen. "Hey! What are you doing?" I hear Xiumin's voice ask. I turn around again to look at them. "I'm going to the kitchen..." "Why?! Are you not eating with us?" He asked. The others nodded, also wondering. "No... I'll leave you guys alone... You haven't seen Chanyeol in a while so I'm guessing you'll want to be with him. Plus, there's no more place around the table, you're already practically sitting on top of each other." "But we want you to eat with us! Right guys?" Lay said. The rest of the members nodded and smiled. "And for the place... Maybe-" "You can sit on my laps!" Chanyeol interrupted. Everyone looks surprised by his proposition. "On your laps?!" I said, also surprised. "Yeah! I mean, we're best friends right?" "Yeah but..." "No 'but'! Come sit on daddy!" He said as he pointed at his laps. "Ew!!! D'ont say that! That sounds so... Wrong" I said laughing as I walked to him. He laughed along with the other guys.

I sit on his laps and start eating. I was so freaking hungry! I suddenly feel something on my shoulders. I turn my head to see what it is and I see Chanyeol's face. Our faces are inches away from each other. I feel my face transform into a tomato. "How can your face look so good even from up close like that?" I said going back to my food. "It's luck I guess. Something you sadly didn't get." He said laughing. I punch his stomach as a response. "Yeah... I guess..." I said fake-crying. I know he's just playing with me so I'm not really offended.

"What are you talking about hyung?! She's so pretty!" Sehun said from the other side of the table. The others nodded also shocked by our little conversation. I look back at Chanyeol and we both start laughing. Confused looks appeared on their faces. "Guys, don't worry! We're just playing!" I said still laughing. "Yeah guys, I would never say something that mean if it wasn't as a joke!" Chanyeol continued. Their confused faces change into embarrassed ones. "Oh..." Sehun said as his cheeks changed to pink. "But thanks for the compliment!" I said winking at him which made him even more embarrassed. I laughed at his cute expression.

We finished eating and we're all in Channie's room, just talking. "Hey, Ann?" Chen said looking down at me (he's standing besides me as I'm sitting on the bed besides Chanyeol) "Yes?" I said looking up at him. "Hum... I forgot to ask earlier but... How old are you?" The other members stopped talking and waited for my answer. "Oh, I'm 20, but I'm turning 21 in 4 days." I said. "Really?" Everyone said at the same time. "Yeah..." "So, are you going home to celebrate it?" Chanyeol asked. "No..." I said looking at the floor. I actually realized about 2 days ago that I wouldn't be able to see my family for my birthday this year and that makes me sad. "Why?" He asked. "Hum... I can't afford the plane ticket... So I'll have to stay here" "Oh..." I heard a couple of them say. "But it's alright... I don't mind..." I said obviously lying. "I know you're lying Anny" Chanyeol said as he pulled me in a side hug. I feel my eyes fill with water. I make sure to not look up from the floor. I hate crying in front of people, it feels like all I want is their pity... Chanyeol puts is finger under my chin and lifts my head. I look at him briefly and look back at the floor, not wanting him to see me cry.

He must have seen the water in my eyes because he immediatly hugs me. A real hug this time. I put my arms around him and hide my face in his shoulders and start crying. I just can't hold it in. It's going to be the very first birthday I'll spend away from my family and for some reasons, it really gets to me. I cry more and more thinking about it. Chan rubs my back to try to make me feel better. It does a little. I just really needed this right now.

He pulls me away to look at my face and kiss my forehead. "I'm really sorry that you won't be able to spend your birthday with your family... But I'll make sure you have the best birthday ever!" He said with a comforting smile. I give him a little smile back. I dry my tears and stand up to look at the other members. "I'm really sorry about that" I said slowly. They don't answer. I look down, sad that they probably won't see me the same way anymore.
