Confused Love

Chapter 2: Ronaldo

Royalty and I have been together since May 19th of 2014 and it has been an amazing two years with her. She has done nothing but make me happy and love her more each and every day. Our anniversary is in a few days and I want to give her something special. I already have her special gift and she'll be so happy. Life is just perfect right now.

Right now, I'm walking her to class and I'm feeling great. It seems like no one could replace either one of us. I notice Dylan looking at her in a weird way and I pull her in a little closer. She seemed to have noticed too but clearly ignored it.

When I'm finally in class, all that I could think about is Royalty. Her smile, her eyes, her beautiful long hair, and her amazing personality makes her unique.

Right now I'm in English and we're assigned to write a letter to anyone we choose and to give it to that person. I think that Mr. Brown is just tired and wants a break. I decided that my letter will be to Royalty. I was writing for 30 minutes but it felt like only five because I was so wrapped up in my words.

When I looked up after finishing, I noticed Mr. Brown looking at me with a smile of satisfaction. I'm usually not paying attention in his class but this assignment caught my attention.

Hours later, it's time for the lunches. I go to 2nd lunch and Royalty goes to first lunch. It's time for her to go so I just go straight to class and wait for it's time for me to go.

This class is so boring to me, but I just try to manage until it's time to go. Art is alright but it can be a challenge.

Finally, the bell for my lunch rings and I rush out of the classroom. When I walked by Royalty's class, I noticed her and Dylan talking and laughing together and it kinda hurts. I ignored it but it still bothered me.

I always sit with my friends Alicia and Mike. We've all been friends ever since the 5th grade. Alicia is the oldest out of us three and I'm the youngest. She's older than me by 5 months and older than Mike by 1 month.

Alicia asked concerned, "Hey Ronaldo. You look a little upset. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind," I assured her.

"Well we're here for you if you need anything. We've been friend for about 6-7 years now and nothing will break our friendship," Alicia told me and then she gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek.

She has never kissed me before. Even Mike looked shocked. I didn't think much of it but it left me wondering. Does she have a secret crush on me?

I finally go back to my Art class, although I don't want to, and continued my project. We're supposed to draw what we see when we hear the word "love." When I hear that word, I think of two people walking on the beach while holding hands, so I decided to draw that.

At the end of the day, I wait in my car for Royalty. When she's finally in the car, I start to drive off. We stopped by In N Out for something to eat since we're both starving. Once we're done, I head to the car while she uses the restroom. I dropped the letter in her bag while I waited.

I pulled into her driveway to drop her off. We kiss each other goodbye and she gets out of the car and goes into her house. I drive away with a smile on my face and I think about the gift I'm going to give her.

Once I'm home, I lay in my bed and a million thoughts go through my mind. I think about the kiss from Alicia and it made me blush a little. Why am I blushing?
