Anyways. So back to Pete staring at her ceiling.
Pete rolled around on her bed for a while and eventually fell asleep. She slept soundly. As she was coming to the surface after a good night's rest, she felt something brushing against her nose. She swatted it away and rolled onto her side.
"Oh come on." Whispered a the small voice of a girl, "Pan, just wake her up already. Everyone else probably already has their replacement at the randezvous. Also we still have to get mine."
"No, Tink," said a boy's voice closer to me, "I mean I want to wake her quickly but we can't have her mother hear us. That woman is worse than Hook."
Pete groaned and pulled her pillow over her head. It only stayed there for a moment because someone jerked it off. Pete sat bolt upright and stared at the intruders in her room. She opened up her mouth to scream, but the Boy, Pan, rushed forward and slightly slapped her as he threw his mouth over her open mouth. Pan leaned forward and said, "We are not going to hurt you. We just want to talk. Nod your head if you promise you won't scream." Pete glared at him. Pan quickly added, " and don't you dare lick my hand."
Pete slowly nodded her head, Pan lowered his hand and retreated to the foot of Pete's bed to stand by the girl, Tink.
"Who are you?" Pete said her voice still gravely from sleep.
Pan stood taller put his fists on his hips, and said proudly, "I am Peter Pan. Well the current one any ways."
Tink rose a couple of feet and that is when Pete noticed the small girl had glistening wings. "I am Tinker Bell the 15th."
Pete stared at the odd pair in front of her.
Pan and Tink looked at each other and than looked at Pete. "Look," Pan said, "We really have to go. We will explain everything on the way to the randezvous point. We really have to go."
He grabbed Pete's hand and pulled her over to the window. Pete looked down at the young boy pulling her to the window. He looked to be about 13 years old and about to hit a growth spurt. He had an impish grin and an rather large ears. His eyes were large and a forest green, and surrounded by dark lashes. When he had gotten her over to the window, he tilted his face upwards to look at her and said, "You are going to have to jump with me-"
Pete backed away quickly from the window and Pan shaking her head speechlessly. She couldn't believe the boy wanted her to jump. Was he crazy? Was she crazy?
She backed right into Tink who was jostled enough for golden dust to fall from her clothes and hair. Pete looked at herself sideways in the mirror and saw that the golden dust from the elfish girl had gotten onto her clothes and all over the rug on the floor.
Pete looked from Tink to Pan and back again. "If they are really Tinker Bell and Peter Pan.....," Pete thought. Pete squished her eyes shut and thought about Jamie. Her eyes jerked open as she felt herself rising off the floor. "I am flying!!!!" She squealed then crashed to the floor as she jammed her hand over her mouth and remembered her promise to Pan and Tink.
She cringed and whipped her head around when she heard her mother's door jerk open and slam shut. A second later, Pete's door flew open, and her mother was there puffing in the door way as if she had just run a marathon. She looked like a bull ready to charge.
Pete's mother began cursing at Pete. Then she noticed the two children in the room. Everyone was silent. Pete sprang forward and snatched Tink before her mother could. Pete pushed Tink twords the widow, and made Pan and Tink jump out. Pete went to do the same, but her mother had the hem of Pete's shirt in her iron like grip.
"YOU WILL NOT LEAVE ME!" Pete's mother howled. "YOU WILL STAY HERE WITH ME AND YOU WILL GET YOUR PUNISHMENT-"
"FOR WHAT?!" Pete yelled back, "FOR NOT BEING THE BOY YOU DESIRED, FOR RUINING YOUR CAREER, FOR DESTROYING YOUR SOCIAL LIFE, OR FOR NOT BEING THE GORGEOUS DAUGHTER THAT WOULD HAVE SUFFICED FOR MY NOT HAVING BEEN A BOY. YOU HATE ME! AND I HAVE TRIED TO LOVE YOU AS MY FATHER DID! BUT YOU NEVER LOVED ME BACK! YOU NEVER CARED A DEVIL'S INCH ABOUT ME! YOU DON'T CARE WHETHER I LIVE OR DIE! WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH NOW?"
Pete wrenched her shirt out of her mother's grip and disappeared from view as she jumped out of the window without looking back.
