Sorry I haven't written in a while! Believe me, it hurts me a lot more than it hurts you. Here goes!    -Elizabeth Topaz

Jamie watched the whole interchange between Pete, Patsy, and Captain Hook. He breathed a sigh of relief as he watched Patsy and Pete walk down and stand with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.

He couldn't believe that his favorite fairy tale could have turned on him like this. First of all, He thought to himself, Fairy Tales are fiction. And second of all, why would a tale as innocent as Peter Pan, be evil? Finally, Why me? I am the most popular, handsome, smart, have a great car, etc. My life is perfect. Why this, Why now, and Why me?! There are so many other guys in the world that would have been more than happy to be in my position. Besides, I don't want to be in a feud and fight with the girl I love. That would really kill our relationship which is already struggling due to our parents. Why?

When he heard footsteps approaching him, he turned and saw Captain Hook coming towards him. He felt a ripple of fear course through his veins. He wasn't usually afraid of other people, but he knew that Captain Hook was no joke.

Captain hook smiled cunningly at Jamie as he approached.
"So," said Captain Hook, "That is the girl you were mumbling about in you sleep?"

"Yes." said Jamie, "How do you know that about me?"

"When we came to get you this morning and tell you of your fortune to get into this prestigious group, we broke into your room and heard you mumbling in your sleep." He looked at Jamie out of the corner of his piercing blue eyes. "Peter is a curious name for a girl, don't you think? Rather unfortunate."

Jamie grit his teeth together so hard they might have cracked. "Her name is perfect! You have no right to judge her, Hook. And yes, her name is more unfortunate than you could ever imagine." Jamie said, thinking back to when he had learned of how awful Pete's mother was to her, and why she had been named Pete. His heart broke for her.

Captain Hook scowled at the look of love written on Jamie's face. It would be harder than ever now to tear apart the two now. Especially now that he knew they both had feelings for each other.

Then again, thought Hook to himself, It could be epic and put the right prejudice between the two. It could be perfect. Use their love for each other to turn them against each other.

After he had completed that thought, he smirked and looked closer at Jamie.

Jamie stared at Captain Hook. A man as cunning as Hook surely had something up his sleeve to get what he wants when he wants it. It was unsettling the way that Hook was staring at him.
He forced himself to look away. Wincing slightly, Jamie shifted uncomfortably in his bonds.
The bonds were digging into his skin, rubbing away the skin underneath. His back was stiff from the hard deck and being tied up so tight to the barrel. Ribs were burning from bruises, and he was sure from the throbbing on his left cheek that he had a black eye. Plus he could feel dried blood from where his temple had been cut.

He had gotten the cut after the skirmish when Captain Hook came to take him away. It was last night. While he was on the way home, after watching Pete go into her house, He was driving down the road lost in thought. He was thinking about how he could get Pete alone again to ask her to Homecoming when something ran out in from of his car. He slammed on the brakes and saw a chubby young man right in front of his car.

Jamie jumped out of his car and ran to the man. The chubby young man was as white as a sheet and looked as if he might faint at any second. It scared Jamie to death. Jamie whipped out his phone and was about to dial 911, when a man stepped out of the shadows to the right of his car. The man startled Jamie and caused him to drop his phone. It hit the pavement with a sickening crack. Jamie bent down to pick it up, but when he reached out his hand to grab it, someone put their foot on top of it. It was a red shiny boot. Slowly, Jamie looked up and saw the man who had stepped out of the shadows.
