~*Isabella's POV*~
"ARGH!" I threw a pencil in frustration.
"What's wrong baby?" Angelo walks in the door with a box of chocolates in his hands.
"I have an itch and this stupid cast won't let me itch it!" I growl. "Is that a box of chocolates?" I smile, feeling my spirits lift with its presence. Angelo nods, handing them to me and pecking me on the lips.
"Although you're already sweet enough," He cooes with a smile on his face. He plops a seat on the chair next to my bed as I tell him the news.
"I get released tomorrow and I'll get to go home!" I smiled hugging the teddy bear he'd brought me the other day.
"That's great!" He smiles. "That means I'll get to take my baby out to a movie, and maybe out for dinner. I'll have more ways to spoil you!" He grabs my hand excitedly. I return his smile before replying.
"Baby, you don't need to spoil me."
"Yes I do. I took you for granted before and when I saw you in Marcel's arms I saw just what I was missing out on. He hurt you baby, and I can't stand it. And the fact that he comes in here all the time, lieing to your face about it, trying to take you away from me. Look at you," He shakes his head. "You're all broken and it's all his fault. But I'm going to take care of you and fix you up. Fix us up." He kisses my hand.
"Tell me the story of what happened again? It's all such a blur." I say innocently.
He nods before looking me in the eyes, "It all started when I walked up to you in school. You looked pretty upset and I apologized for everything and was calling off the fight with Marcel. I asked what was wrong and you told me he broke up with you and that he yelled at you, calling you names and insulting you, Darcy, Jack, you're whole family! He told you you should die because he didn't love you. You were a wreck and so I hugged you, I couldn't stand seeing you cry. I just wanted to comfort you since he was clearly no where to be found. But I guess he turned the corner and saw us hug.
"He got so mad he ran out to his car and waited in the parking lot for you to leave. You weren't feeling well because you'd been crying so much and the school decided to send you home for the day. When you came out of the building his eyes targeted you slowly followed you. When it got dark, he waited for the perfect opportunity to strike. And soon that opportunity came. You were crossing the street and that's when he stepped on it, heading straight for you. When I got the call you were in the hospital I rushed here, and stayed by your side until you woke up. Seeing what he's done to you sickens me Izzy. I love you and I don't want him to hurt you anymore. I won't let anybody hurt you." He kissed me passionately on the lips.
"Angelo? What about the headlights? I remember looking up and seeing bright lights." I whispered when he pulled away.
"Oh that's because he flickered his headlights on and off to startle you. A moving target's a lot harder to hit. You were like a deer caught in the headlights." He says matter-of-factly.
"That story gets creepier and creepier every time I hear it." I mumble.
"Shh, it's okay baby, I'm here now. Nothing can hurt you." He hugs me and kisses me on the forehead. "Hold on a sec. My dad texted me." He looks down at his phone, quickly typing a reply before he puts it back in his pocket. "Now, back to you my love. You look stunning today!" He throws his hands up enthusiastically and grins. "Come here you pretty little thing!" He sits on the edge of my bed next to me and holds my face in his hands.
"One," He kisses my forehead, "To keep he in your thoughts. Two," He kisses me on the nose, "Because you're so damn beautiful. Three," He kisses me once on each cheek, "Because I love you. Four," He kisses me on the lips long and passionately. He presses his forehead to mine, closing his eyes as he whispers, "Because that's where my lips belong."
I can't help but smile at how sweet he's being. I haven't seen this side of him since the beginning of our first relationship. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him, tangling my fingers in his hair. He holds the back of my head, pulling me deeper in the kiss. Finding his opportunity he slips his tongue in my mouth and soon his kissing becomes rough and needy.
Suddenly the door bursts open and Marcel stands there with his bag in his hands. Before he plasters on a mask, I catch the glimmer of pain rush though his features.
"I, erm, I just wanted to uh, say good bye before I leave. I'm sorry is this a bad time?" He looks at Angelo and I tangled in each others arms.
"No, it's okay. I'm glad your all better, take care." I say quickly, remembering what Angelo had told me.
"Oh, okay, well uh, maybe I'll visit you tomorrow before you leave then?" He stutters. I lift up my hand and wave a small wave as he turns to the door. Before he disappears behind the wooden barrier, I catch a tear slide down his cheek.
"Don't worry I won't let him hurt you," Angelo snuggles into my arms.
"I know... " I mumble.
