'Chole Kulche'

Anika's POV

"Hey Anika,let's do it again.It's really fun doing it."Mallika shouted from behind.I beckoned her to come to me.You know,I'm used to doing these things but today I was nervous,I quite don't know the reason for my nervousness.I've been doing it,you know all these prank calling for quite some months but never in all these months had I felt nervous.

I quite don't know why I was nervous after just a call of his.You know,if you'd ask me it was unlike me to get afraid or scared easily.But,today I don't know for what reason I felt insecure and nervous."Hey,Anika now don't be so serious."Mallika said sitting beside me."But,then what if it happens again"I said,that voice of his still echoing in my ears.That happened on a day like this only.

I was busy playing pranks on people on the phone line,but then I made the biggest mistake of my life,I should say.I randomly called a number and waited for some time.The phone was ringing on and on and now it was literally irritating me.I'd now given the hope of pranking on anybody as the phone seemed to rang forever.

After waiting for some time,when finally somebody took on the receiver,I rambled confidently as I usually did"Hello!Sir,how long will you take to send our 'Chole Kulche'?I've been waiting for them for so long.Arre,jaldi karo bhaiya ghar pe sab khaane ke liye taras rahe hai(please send it quickly as everbodys's starving)."I confidently rambled on.Yeah,this time I chose to play the part of a hungry customer who's eagerly waiting for his food.

"What!What the hell are you saying?And why should I send it?,I mean whatever you said.And who the hell are you?Do u even know whom i am?See,if I came to know who are you,then you won't be spared."He said egotistically."Oye,hello!Angrez ki aulad!Jyaada na baak!Angrezi hame bhi bolni aati hai.Or haan woh 'whatever' nahi 'Chole Kulche'hote hai.(Oh,hello!You son of the British!Stop blabbering.We also know how to speak English.And yes that's 'Chole Kulche' and not 'whatever')Mister,do eat it someday so that you'll be alright"I snapped at him.

"Excuse me,may I know on whom are you yelling like that?Do u even know who I am?See,the consequences will be worst if I'll ever come to know about you."He shouted from the other side."See,I'm not scared of you and I don't care the least about who-"I shouted but before I could  finish,instead of his gruff voice I heard a sharp noise of something crashing,and suddenly the call disconnected.

I was now sure,that he must have banged his phone against the ground.I didn't know that he was that much angry,if I'd known then i must have stop pranking.I don't know,but I felt really bad for him.I don't know but that one small phone call somewhat shook me.If I'd known that if he was that much angry,then I'd never in all my life would do that such of thing.

I mean,I really like playing pranks on people but that dosn't mean that I would make someone furious just for the sake of playing pranks.I thought,to apologise to him but at this point it somewhat doesn't seemed right."Hey,Anika where you lost?"Mallika said,shaking me up."Uh...I..I...was thinking about that call."I admitted."Oh,Anika!Now,don't be so serious about that.See,he didn't even know you then how the hell he'll ever cause any harm to you.Now,stop over thinking about that call and let's do it again.I mean,it's not like that you'll again end up calling him".I silently,nodded at her.

"Yeah,we'll do,but later,cause I'm not feeling alright now"."Yup,as you wish".She said and left me alone.I silently,went to my bedroom and laid on my bed.I let out a sigh,and laid there for quite some time not knowing when I fell asleep.
