Angelia looked at her best friend with curiosity, watching as she furiously scribbled something down on the parchment that sat in her lap as she lay sprawled across her bed in their dorm. Silently, Angelia made her way over to the bed, looming over her shoulder in a pitiful attempt to read what she had written.

"What you doing?" She sang as she bounded onto the bed beside Melanie, failing to read the parchment. Hastily, Melanie grabbed the parchment and shoved it in the inside pocket of her robes. Becoming suspicious, Angelia narrowed her eyes and reached for Melanie's robes, only to be swatted away by the sapphire eyed girl. "Is it a love letter to Cedric?" She teased, batting her eyelashes.

Melanie rolled her eyes and stood up, folding her arms as Angelia smiled innocently at her best friend. "Ever heard the saying 'curiosity killed the cat'?" Melanie questioned but the eldest Zambini's smile only grew.

"I don't care much for muggle sayings." Angelia retorted. "But rumour has it that a little spell brought it back."

"Oh really?" Melanie challenged, arching an eyebrow as she grabbed her notebook from the dresser. "Are the Zabini's going to the dark side?" She laughed, which caused the girl to merely roll her eyes and huff 'hardly' in response. "Besides," Angelia pouted, her eyes flickering to Melanie's robe pocket. "you're changing the subject."

Melanie pursed her lips as she readjusted the books in her arms. "Speaking of subjects.' She began dramatically as she slowed edged towards the door. "I've got to go study for my potions exam." She spoke hurriedly as she threw the door open and almost leapt out of her dorm room.

"We don't have a potions exam." Angelia yelled as the door slammed shut, causing her to fold her arms and huff.

"Cedric." Melanie shouted as she ran through the library doorway, her emerald embroidered robes fluttering behind her like jewelled wings.

"Hush." The librarian harshy chastised and Melanie narrowed her eyes, sticking her tongue out at the ancient woman once she had turned her back. Quickly, her eyes darted across the large room, searching for the boy with the tawny coloured hair who wore gold and onyx robes. A triumphant smile slithered upon her lips when she finally spotted him hiding in the back corner.

Nimbly she scurried towards him, well aware of the librarian who was shooting daggers at her, waiting for her to make another noise so she may be entitled to banish her from the library. Flopping into the seat beside Cedric, Melanie sighed in relief.

"I gotta exercise more." Melanie puffed as she ran a hand through her hair, Cedric arching an eyebrow at her dramatic entrance. "I realised I was late so I ran the whole way here. I didn't want you to think that I was standing you up." She explained and Cedric waved his hand in a nonchalant manner.

"Of course I didn't think that." He laughed. But in truth that was exactly what Cedric thought. Melanie Hollows was basically royalty in Hogwarts, the Slytherin Queen. The entire lineage of the Hollows family had been in Slytherin, her brother having graduated years before and still being known as a living legend within the walls of Hogwarts.

"Right let's get down to business." Melanie grinned, her twinkling eyes causing Cedric's heart to do that little leap it always does. The Hallows girl led the Hufflepuff boy to a table at the back corner of the library and the two sat down. Cedric could feel Melanie's body heart radiating off her and her hair smelt of coconut. The boy noted that from now, this would be his new favourite smell.

"So about Sam," Melanie whispered, snapping Cedric out of his daze. "Give me all the info." As she spoke Melanie reached into her bag and pulled out a notepad and a set of coloured pens.

"Melanie what are you doing?" He questioned, scrunching his nose up, confused. He's cute when he does that. Melanie thought, shocking herself by her own words. "Because I'm going to make a pro and con list. Writing things down helps me think." She mused, picking up the purple pen and beginning to scrawl upon the paper. "Now continue." She added, waving her hand, and Cedric did as she asked.

"Well Sam is - um - well he's loud - " He began and Melanie nodded, scrawling down in the pro side of the paper. "Good, Angelia is both quiet and loud, depends the people really so that will work well. Next."

Cedric scratched the back of his head, not really sure how to describe his friend. "Em well he's an only child, he loves quidditch and muggle soap operas, although he'd never confess the latter. He has a pet cat - Dolores - named by his little cousin."

"Good, good." Melanie nodded, continuing to scrawl only on the pro side, very pleased so far by her findings. "Favourite food?"

"He doesn't have one." Cedric laughed. "He'll eat everything and anything in between."

"Okay, good that's enough for now." Melanie smiled as she placed het pen down and turned to face Cedric. "Okay so this is what I propose. We make a picnic and Sam, Angelia you and I will go together -"

"You and I?" Cedric interrupted, his palms becoming sweaty at the thought of going on a date with the beauty. "Yes." She confirmed, rather impatiently. It was good to note that Melanie did not like being interrupted. "So things don't seem out of the ordinary or awkward for Angelia. She gets nervous around new people."

"Oh right." Cedric laughed it off, forcing a smile. "Of course."

"Then, when things get going, you and I will slip away and leave the love birds to it." Melanie giggled, so very pleased with her plan.

"Sounds good." Cedric nodded. "When should we have the picnic?"

"Hm Friday?" She pondered, chewing on the inside of her cheek as she narrowed her eyes.

"Friday." Cedric confirmed, grinning from ear to ear at the mere thought of getting to spend time with Melanie.
