//Seven Demigods//"We're in trouble." Percy says when he sits down at the table after slapping a newspaper down for the group to see.
Annabeth picks up the paper and looks at the front cover, her expression going from thoughtful to worried as she finishes the headline. She passes it around until it arrives at Hazel and she looks at the photo.
"The Mist didn't conceal the damage?" She asks.
Percy shakes his head," I thought it would, when I saw it yesterday after the battle but apparently not according to this. Found it in town this morning when I went to look around."
Hazel bites her lip and hands it back to him. "What do you think is going to happen?""It's hard to say, hopefully everyone will think it's some crazy unexplainable happening." Jason says as he snatches the paper from Percy's hand to look again.
Hazel nods, but looks worried. Leo, looking frantic, bursts into the room.
"We're missing a piece of Celestial Bronze off of the hull." He says, his words mixing together as he talks hurriedly. "And the Mist hasn't been covering the ship. I will be forced to take us up past the clouds in a few minutes."Jason jumps up, "I'll go outside and look for the piece, you get us up in the sky Leo." He says and rushes out the door and up to the deck.
Leo follows him a moment after and the demigods feel the ship rise into the air.
Annabeth places her palms on the table and looks around at the group gathered. "We need to discuss strategy here guys, things are getting serious."
Percy nods and taps on the wall screens. A map of the small town of Manila shows up and Jason and Annabeth approach the screen to study further.
"I think maybe we should split up, cover a little more ground." Hazel says, peering at the map.
Annabeth nods, agreeing with this idea. "I'd say that's a good call too, but partner up. That way someone doesn't get cornered all alone."
"Who should our tea-" Percy began, but Leo walks in and cuts him off.
"We are steady in the sky, above the clouds and Jason is making a last loop on the ground. He hasn't found it yet, which isn't a problem for us, but it is for someone who might find it."
Leo sits down and sighs, running his hand along the table, as if stroking his baby.
Percy gives him a pointed look, and when Leo doesn't respond, he continues,"who should our partners or teams be?"
Leo finally looks up, "are we splitting up?"
"Yes, do you want to stay with the ship or go?"Leo considers, "I'll go." He says finally, with a smirk.
"Add your McShizzle?" Percy asks him, smiling widely and holding a laugh in.
"Yes." Leo says mock seriously.
Everyone laughs and Annabeth just shakes her head. "We'll meet back at the little cafe in town after we're done."
Jason walks in, panting and shaking his head. "I couldn't find it anywhere, I think we're out of luck in that front."
Annabeth shrugs, "well you did your best, nothing we can do about it now. But we do need to start finding out what's going on here."
