chapter 5

~Lily's POV~

I could feel wet thick stuff all around me, it smelt like copper....blood. When I came to I was laying In my own pool of blood. I tried to sit up but my body wouldn't move I looked over I was still in my apartment. The only thing I remember is someone breaking down the door and I was being beat. When I looked over at the door it was in perfect condition,everything was except me but something didn't feel right.

I looked down, my blood was black. What kind of messed up shit is this? Then I heard out of nowhere,

"Lily, baby, please don't leave me, I need you. Don't go, I can't love anyone else, please I shouldn't have left you, you should have came with me but no. This is all my fault please please don't die. I'm dieing with you." His voice was cracking. It sounded so familiar, but why isn't it clicking? Then his face came to me. Jake. My world started to spin I could feel someone's hand in mine. I squeezed the hand that was holding mine. I slowly opened my eyes, to see I was in a white room. there was a tv on the right side of the room. I was in a warm bed, things were beeping to the left of me, and I had a tube in my throat. Then jake's face appeared. His eyes were red and puffy, with dark rings underneath. He was crying. I lifted my hand and wiped his tears away when more spilled out of his eyes. I could feel my eyes water too, and Jake buried his face in my neck, crying. I just held him, he was repeating the same words over and over, that always warmed my heart.

"I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you so damn much!" When he turned to face me the door opened and a woman in her mid thirties, wearing a lab coat walked in. 

"Hi Lily, I'm Dr.Sue. We are going to be taking the breathing tube out now." A nurse I didn't notice before came from behind her, and took the tube out. The first thing I did was ask for a glass of water. Jake, who never left my side since they came in, got up and got me some water. I croaked out a small thank you and drank it dry. I looked at Dr.Sue, then said,

"What happened to me?" She had a sad look on her face as she answered my question.

"You were beat pretty bad, you had a gash on your forehead, they broke one of your ribs and a fracture in your arm. The worst part, was you got put into a coma." To say I was shocked would have been the understatement of the century.

"A coma...? For how long?" I asked, nervous. She sighed.

"It's been 9 weeks." I looked over at Jake- he had a small smile on his face.

"Jake, when did you sleep last?" He just looked at me and said,

" That's nothing to be worried about, baby." I didn't like that answer one bit so I asked again.

" Jake, honey, when did you sleep last?" He sighed, knowing I'd gotten him.

"I barely got any sleep- maybe a few hours at the most. I was too worried about you to sleep." 

"Jake, you need to sleep, I'm ok now." Dr.Sue cleared her throat, I totally forgot she was still here. Jake turned to face her, and she said,

"You can stay In one of the doctor's rooms if you'd like." He was about to reject, when I answered for him.

"He would love to take it." When I looked at him, he had hurt written all over his face. I gestured for him to come closer, then said softly,

"Jake, you need your sleep. I feel terrible that you barely slept for 9 weeks. Please, do it for me?" He knew he was defeated, but he had so much love in his eyes I smiled and leaned in. The kiss was small but it had bigger sparks then the 4th of July. When we broke apart, he had a smile on his face.

" I have been waiting 9 weeks for that." I laughed. I felt a little tired while Jake and I were watching tv, my eyes felt so heavy that I could barely keep them open. I looked over at Jake, who was sleeping, smiling at how peaceful he looked. Moments later, sleep finally took over me. I was sitting on a bed of soft grass. The sun giving my skin a warm tingle, all the birds singing a happy tune. I felt so happy sitting here in the meadow. I laid back and took a huge breath of fresh air. Then I heard something come towards me. I felt a sinking feeling in my gut. I quickly got up when an arm came around me in a hug. I was too stunned to hug back so I sat there while this person hugged me. When the person came around me I went numb from head to toe. Why is he here! Why was he hugging me? I was to numb to do anything but sit there, shocked.

So here's chapter 5 sorry if it kinda sucks I was stuck for a while but hey I made it and please if you have any ideas or suggestions don't be scared i will take any open ideas :) I'll try to up date way more so please don't give up on me I love you guys stay you!!- hayleyfizzy
