This ones going to be a long one with a few parts, which hopefully will come one after the other, so just bare with me.

Betraying people was what you were good at, in fact it was your specialty, but when they asked you to take down this one, you instantly knew you could't do it but that didn't stop you from saying yes when they asked. No it didn't stop you from going to his house in the night, and lying to him, no you could't save him, you couldn't even save yourself.

The day before

You had been given a very rare day off, and you decided you were going to spend it like any normal person would- by getting coffee, you walked down the busy street feeling free, the handcuffs were off, the chains were broken, and the cage had no key, it was only for a day, tomorrow you would be back in there, and made to do whatever they wanted.

you found a small coffee shop at the end of the street called 'Hendo's' you liked the look of this place so decided this would be the one you would spend your 'freedom' day in.

There was 3 simple rules you had to follow

1. don't talk to anyone

2. don't run away ( they will always find you)

3. Kill if need be

Lets just say the company you work for weren't exactly legit, you had only just recently found out that they weren't doing anything good for the world at all, well unless you count killing innocent people as 'cleansing the community' then they were definitely the bad guys and seeing as you worked for them, you were always one of the bad guys.

Walking over to the counter and swift as possible you somehow didn't notice a man walking in the same direction as you except from a different angle, and when he bumped in to you and you dropped to the floor, you weren't exactly happy. You though of rule 3 and thought of how perfect it would be in this situation but as soon as you got a look at the man, killing him was the last thing on your mind.

'Oh no, I'm so sorry' he pleads as he holds out his very big hand for you to grab, you cautiously place your hand in his as he wraps his fingers around yours and helps you up.

You don't say anything 1. because your not supposed to and 2. because this man was extremely good looking

for some strange reason your cheeks started burning, a sensation you had never felt before, and before you knew it a small smile had crept upon your lips

the man continued to stare back, his blue eyes staring deep into your soul and for a short moment you were pretty sure he could see all of your darkest memories and thoughts.

'Are you okay?' he asks, smiling down at you, nodding quickly you turn to walk past him but are stopped when he grabs your arm 'hey how about i buy you a coffee? you know to say a proper apology and all'

you tilt your head, what is this mans game? who is he? and why is he being so.... nice?

when you don't say anything he speaks again 'in fact i'm not going to take no for an answer' and with that he takes your hand and pulls you over to the counter, the waitress comes forward and starts smiling sweetly at him, to sweetly, you sure wish you could us rule 3 on her right now, for some reason her smiley self annoyed you, stop smiling bitch.

the man though he never smiled back in face he didn't really look at her, no. His eyes were on you the entire time, you turned to look at him and for the first time really took in his facial features, he had a very framed jawline, with piercing bright blue eyes, his eyes reminded you off the sky, you liked the sky very much, his hair was blonde but not to blonde maybe a dirty blonde, he had a straight nose and plump lips. you analysed his face, his eyes, his body language, he seemed legit, he didn't seem to want to hurt you.

maybe he wasn't so bad.

he handed your  drink, which you were guessing was coffee and gestured for you to follow him, he lead you to a small table at the back of the cafe' and held out the chair for you, you nodded and sat down, he walked round and sat on the other side of the table facing you.

'Thank you' you whispered, not believing in your own voice, you knew you were breaking rule number one, but how would they know, they're not around, you won't tell them, oh well.

'don't thank me, its the least i could do after i so rudely knocked you over' he laughed awkwardly

you nodded

he stared

'Why do you do that?' you ask

'do what?' he questions

'your eyes, you keeping looking at me'

he laughs a little before holding his hand up 'Sorry, you just seem.. I don't know... different, i guess'

'Different?'

'Yeah different' he replies

'Is different good or bad? you ask fiddling with the label on your cup

'Good definitely good' he adds taking a sip of his drink

'So is this your first time here?'

'here?'

'yeah at Hendo's?, have you been here before?' he asks squinting his eyes at your lack of understanding

'Oh no, no, I erm came out, erm,i... I just moved here, so im trying out new places' you lie

' oh where did you live before?'

'Arizona' you lie.. again

'Ahh great, well if you like I could show you some cool places that i like around here, i mean if you would like that'

you don't reply but instead taking a long gulp of your drink

'Do you come here a lot?' you ask

the man nods 'Yeah I find it very relaxing' he states 'its nice to get away from it all'

You smile a genuine smile, yes it is nice to get away from it you think to yourself.

'The names Steve, Steve rogers, by the way'

'(Y/N)' you reply

'Well (Y/n) it was very nice meeting you, i'm very glad we did actually' he smiles

you smile back ' Me to Steve, me to'

for the next half an hour or so you stay talking to Steve learning about his life, and what kind of things hes into, he asks you about yours, and you tell him, for once you didn't have to lie, you tell him how you like the smallness of this coffee shop and how you like the way the rain feels when the cool drops splash on your face.

you laugh as he says something funny, but instantly loose your breath when you see him outside, your father, your boss.
