CRISSA'S POV

Derek had me pinned up against a set of lockers, his lips on mine and his hands were locked on my hips.

He pulls away slightly, the warmth from his breath washed over my face as he opened his mouth to speak. "Are you ok?" He asks, I look down and nod. "Yea. Yea.." I mumble. Derek huffs before shifting his weight, "Will you quit thinking about." He huffs out.

I fold my arms instantly, "How am I supose to just forget how -WE- burned down a school." I shoot, A flicker of fear fills Derek's eyes and a second passes before it's gone. A small smile began to show through on his face, he brought his hand up to cup my cheek as his lips got a little closer to mine, "-YOU- .. burned down a school." Derek hums out.

I feel a hollowness over come me and before I can react, Derek's lips are on mine once again.

"But don't worry, Crissa. No one will ever find out about that. -- If you just stop bringing it up. stop worrying about- Me and the boys did." Derek shrugs, I look away for a seconed before Derek's turning my cheek to look back towards him. "Just stop worrying about, crissa." Derek adds with a huff.

"yea.. ok." I mumble out with a nod. "How about we go out tonight.. to get your mind of things." He says, sweetly.

This puts a smile on my face, Derek was a jerk for the most part but.. he did have his sweet moment. this was one of them.

I lean in towards him, ready to kiss him, as soon as his phone rings out. Derek pulls away instantly and holds his phone to his ear, "Hello." he answers urgently. I can't hear who's on the other side but I can see the different kinds of emotion on his face.

The bells rings and soon the doors of classrooms are opening, Derek hangs up his phone and he's about to rush off before he kisses my forehead quickly, "Hey- Hey.. I gotta go. I'll pick you up tonight." He says as he disapears into the crowd of kids.

"Der-" I began.

DEREK'S POV

Mason, Holsten and Holden sat on the bleachers of the empty football field as I walk up. "WHAT." I say, holding my hands up becuase this is the 100th time iv been inturrupted by them.

"it's the fucking blood suckers, man." Mason shoots out, agression laced in his voice. "What about them." I ask, "They jumped Aaron today." Holsten shoots. "Where's everyone els-" I began, "their out, trying to figure out who did it." Mason says.

I run my hands over my face as I let out a long sigh, "When they find out- they'll let us know.. and then, we'll have to pay them a .... a, visit." Hostlen says.

"Yea man. and tonight.. might just be the night you can complete your transition." Mason says. I nod, that excitement that I always gotten when I thought about being able to turn with the rest of the guys, took over me.

"W-well, where's Arron at now?" I ask. "He's at Doc's place. He's healing." Mason says.

It was weird how things worked out, almost like Karma. None of those vampires would be here if we hadn't of went up to the school and let clumsy Crissa play with matches.

Now we had to fight for territory, showing these bloodsuckers who's school this really is.

CRISSA'S POV

I walked into my mothers massive room, she was asleep in the king sized bed. She looks so .... alone, in it, without my dad.

"MOM.." I say, lightly, trying wake her up without a fuss. She rolls around underneath the white sheets before letting out a tired moan here and there. "What." she answers quickly and uninterestedly. "Coul- could I have some money." I say, wondering into he room, her arms get thrown up in a yawning stretch before I see her face.
