|June|

My legs were kicked up on the desk as I flipped through the pages of the magazine. My boss had left for business and there was nothing for me to do.

"Excuse me?" Someone said from in front of me. I looked up and it was a tall guy with brown hair and blue-green eyes.

He had an easy smile as he walked up to the desk I was sitting at. I quickly threw my magazine to the side and put my feet down. "Can I help you Sir?" I asked and he chuckled.

"I was wondering if I could take a tour of the place?" He questioned and I stood, "Do you have an appointment?"

"No, do I need one?" He asked innocently. He moved towards the door to the sanctuary and I moved towards him.

"Listen, if you don't have an app-" He cut me off, "Can't you just let me take the tour?"

I shook my head while staring at him in wonder. He smiled mischievously, "No I can't let you in, I'm sorry It's just that I'll get in a lot of trouble if I let you in there." I stated and he frowned.

He stepped into the sanctuary quickly and I stepped in behind him. "You can't be in here." I insisted.

He draped his arm around me, "Relax, June I will be out of you hair in no time." He tried to calm me down.

"How'd you-" he cut me off and pointed at my name tag, making me feel like an idiot.

I let out a stressed sigh, "Fine a very quick tour." I said and he smiled and let go.

"Don't worry about getting in trouble I'm good at keeping secrets" He said and I blushed. I had to admit he was hot.

There was something about him though. I had just met him and I already had a stand-off type of feeling telling me that he was dangerous and not in a good way.

His smile was alluring but threatening and his stature suggested he was ready to attack anyone who said something he didn't like and yet there was also something likeable about him, something that drew you in.

I looked up at his brown quiffed hair that was slightly tousled then looked back into his eyes he stood still and stared into my eyes, and then grabbed my wrist.

He began to say something but jumped back and yelled out in pain. "Fuck!" He yelled and my eyes widened in surprise.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked and he frowned at his hand then at my wrist. I looked down at my bracelet. It was the one my brother gave me, it had a small wolf on it.

He visibly changed moods and took a step towards me his hand found mine and he bent over to kiss it all the while staring at my bracelet, "Forgive me, I never introduced myself, my name is Dean" He said and I frowned at the sudden change of subject.

"We should continue the tour we don't have much more time before my boss comes back." I said and he smiled back at me and we kept walking.

"Does your boss leave you here alone a lot, it seems irresponsible with all these wolves here to just leave you to watch over them." He stated a glower on his face.

"Well not always, usually just on Tuesdays and Fridays." I say and point to a wolf and lean on its cage.

"This is the pack leader, do you see how its the biggest?" I ask and he nods.

"It's the only black one out of the whole pack and definitely the most dangerous." Dean seems to be listening intently and he takes a step towards the cage and leans up against it peering in at the wolf.

"Lets check out the pups" We move on to the next cage.

In the cage are a few pups playing around in the dirt. "They just woke up, so they're very playful." A smile spreads across my face.
