Chapter 10

After our argument, I haven't talk to or seen Derek since.

It was Tuesday and seemingly ... Things were normal.

Like I hadn't just been exposed to Vampires ... Like my blood hadn't been sucked and Holly's memory of the night hadn't been erased.. Like my EX boyfriend didn't out of the blue slap some sophomore and then get bitten by her.. Today was a typical Tuesday and everything was... Normal.

I guess i should expect it to be, yah know. I learned long ago that just because my dad was Mayor didn't mean people would come tend to my every need. The world wasn't worried about me just as much as I had led on, I guess.

I'm not going to say something stupid like.. Like.. I had nightmares of the night or anything- because I didn't. But I'm not going to lie, when I closed my eyes, even for the smallest second.

Dean popped up.

In my head I'd say, "go away." But it wouldn't work as easy as it did on Friday night.

So I'd try to keep my eyes open as much as possible, which meant barely any sleep. And I gues people could tell.

"Goodness Cee, you look Horrid. Where's the makeup?" Hannah says, aproaching the lunch table and poking my face before she sits down.

I slap her hand away, "and the brush. Goodness." Gia adds, picking up a strand of blonde hair before letting it drop back down my back.

I roll my eyes at the both of them.

"seriously, Gee- does she not look like she's seen a ghost." Hannah says, waiting on Gia for agreement.

I let out breath out and before I could speak, "I think she's seen something a little worse.. If you ask me." A voice says from behind me.

I turn quickly.

"Do I know you." I say, rudely.

He extends his hand, "Seth. Seth Hardy.. We've been going to school together since 3rd grade." He says. I don't take his hand and as soon as he gets the hint he shoves it back into his pocket before taking a seat down beside me at our circular table.

"If you ladies will excuse us." Seth says, raising his eyebrows towards Hannah and Gia.

Hannah folds her arms, "No way.. We'll go if Crissa wants us to." Hannah raises his eye brows right back. "Oh c'mon Hannah, your being a cock block.. she's back on the market remember!" Gia says, grabbing onto Hannah's arms.

"Crissa." Hannah looks to me for an answer.

"I-it's fine.."I nod her off and just like that, her and Gia are standing and leaving the table.

"First off, Let me say- I'm sorry the King and Queen of Ellis HighSchool are no more." Seth says. His eyes are piercingly grey and his hair hangs over his forehead in a way that makes me think of .... Justin bieber.

I make a face, shifting in my seat. "It's no big deal." I say, nonchalantly.

"No big deal because you two will be back together in a hour? Or No big deal because you already moved on?" Seth shoots, knowing something i didn't.

I pull yet another face, "excuse me-" I begin.

"iv got a message from Dean-" Seth says, confidently. "You know de-" I begin. "Well... We just meant but I know him well enough.. He's not a nice guy Crissa but I imagine you know that already." Seth's says, sending a shiver down my spine.

I clench my jaws together.

"O.k. Spit it out." I shoot, growing annoyed.. And maybe a little scared.
