Today, another day to work. And with him.
You have no idea how excited I am. When he smiles, i just. I don't know. I don't know. Oh yeah. i don't know, like anything about him, other than a man that makes my legs weak.
I get dressed in nice clothes and do my make up and hair perfect. Well, I want to at least look good. Yeah, for him.
I grab my purse and say bye to my mother. The cafe is only a block so i just walked. When I got there the doors where still locked. I searched for my phone in my purse. 6:04 am. Oh, Well, I'm early. Better than late, I guess. And is it sad that I want Starbucks? Yeah probably.
I sat playing Temple Run. Jump. Left. Collect coins. Jump. Trip. Dies.
"Your early." I jumped. Shocked I turned around. Ashton.
"Ahh, Yeah, I live like a block away so, yeah." I stated.
"Did Patty give you keys yet?" He chuckled. I shook my head.
"I'll make you some, and sorry I didn't formally introduce myself yesterday. I'm Ashton." He said with a smile. A real smile. Then unlocked the main doors to the cafe. We walked in and shut the door behind us.
"I'm Riley." I smiled back.
"Well since we are early we can make ourselves some coffee and relax for a little bit." He exclaimed while turning on the coffee makers and all the lights since it was still a little dark out side.
"Okay." I went to the back and put my purse down. I turned around to go make myself coffee when I walked into something. Or someone.
Nope. Defiantly something. The wall. I laughed at myself and headed to the machine.
"What happened? I heard something bang." Ashton worried.
"Oh it was nothing, Just my stupidity walking into a wall." I chuckled.
"You not stupid." He stated. "Your just tired, Here I made you some coffee." He handed me a cup of steaming coffee.
"Thank you." We sat at the nearest table which happened to be by the window. I glanced out the window. Sun pouring through the clouds. I then looked at Ashton, he was looking straight at me. I smiled.
"So how was your first day?"
"It was great. I really like it here it's calming. And its fun." He nodded for me to continue. "I like thinking of the people, and like their stories and where they are in life." He looked shocked. "I don't know I'm weird." I said quickly just in case what I said was weird or strange.
"Good." What?
"I thought I was the only one who did that." What. Im not alone. my mother says I'm weird cause I do that.
"Your not weird. Because if your weird then I would have to be weird, and im not that strange. I think." he said.
"I said my mind agin didn't I?"
"Yeah." Damn.
"So, what did you first think about me?" He asked.
"Well. I was going to ask you the same thing. So ladies first." I said smirking.
"Ah-ha. Sure." He laughed. "Well I thought you were a girl lost in her own world, not really caring on whats happening in the outside world. I thought you were carefree and maybe lonely. I don't really know. I just really, kind of guess at these kind of things." He said like he had been thinking about it for a while.
"Your right." I whispered.
"Well your turn." He waited. What. No. Mine was terrible, rude, and cruel. I fakely looked at the clock. 7:00 am.
"Ahh, Look at the time, We have to open!" I said changing the subject.
"Really? Fine." He chuckled.
Giggling, I started get things ready to open. Cleaning the table, turning the machines on. I flipped the sign from 'Sorry were closed' to 'Come on in were open!'
Not only was this only my second day, It was just the beginning of a friendship. or something more. Hopefully.
Hopefully.
