IMAGINE:

You and your best friend austin are laying on the couch watching your guys favorite movie, well yours, austin just always agreed he would watch it with you, titanic. You loved this movie and whenever austin spent the night, which was almost always you too would curl up on the couch and watch it together. Austin was lying behind you pushed up against the back of the couch, on his side, with his head resting on your shoulder. He was absent-mindedly twisting a lock of your hair in his two fingers, his eyes glued to the screen. You sighed, this was a normal Friday night for you two, cuddling on the couch, watching cheesy love stories while he played with your hair, well it was normal until she showed up in the picture. Meredith. She was the rudest, sluttiest girl in your grade, she bullied you when austin wasn't latched onto her side, making comments on how she had him now and you would never have a chance.

*flashback about two weeks ago*

"I'm gonna go get a cookie anyone want anything?" Austin had asked the group and we all shook our head. Austin had asked you out of all of his other friends to come sit at the popular table with his new girlfriend, Meredith. Like you weren't already dying inside because he was taken, especially because he was taken by the one girl who hurts you repeatedly.
"Oh (y/n) I have a surprise for you." Meredith said in her high pitched voice that made you want to slap her.
"What Meredith?" you sighed and she threw a fist full of her spaghetti at your shirt.
"Look I saved you from being embarrassed wearing that." She sneered. You got up and started to walk out when you heard her say something.
"What did you just say?" You ask.
"Here have this you loser", she threw a sharpener blade at you it bouncing off and landing on the table. "Saw your cuts. Have fun loner."
That's when I lost it.-

Austin's phone ringing pulled you out of your flashback. He looked at the screen for a few seconds then smiled, typing back furiously.
"Hey (y/n), I have to go Meredith wants me to come over." He says getting up and putting his shoes on.
"So your just leaving?" You ask, tears threatening to fall but you blink them back. Austin being to absorbed in his phone just replied yeah and left. After he left, you broke, letting all the tears you've held in since they began dating. Running up to your room, you grabbed you razor and made five slashes, for Five months they've been dating, and then you went to your bed and cried yourself to sleep.

Waking up, Monday morning, you put on your long sleeve diamond sweater and some white high waisted pants. Putting your hair into a ponytail you made your way to school. Walking to your locker Meredith came sauntering over.
"Hey ugly." She sneered and you ignored her.
"What do you want Meredith?" You ask looking for your math book.
"Just it rub it into your face that I have austin and you don't. How does it feel to love someone and can never have them because your not good enough? Huh? Because I've never felt it." She asks and you lose it.
"Your a bitch." You scream slamming your locker closed. Austin walks up and stands in between you two.
"Mackenzie what the hell?" He screams at you and Meredith takes it as her cue to start the waterworks.
"I was just trying to help her since she dropped her pencil and she snapped at me." Meredith fake cries and austin holds her protectively.
"Tell me you don't believe that bullcrap." You say surprised at how austin wasn't taking your side or even listening to you. "Austy?" You whine.
He just shakes his head and walks away holding the still crying Meredith. Slumping down, you fall onto the floor in front of your locker, while everyone watched you break. One of Meredith's clones was still standing there and she looked at you apologetically, before she walked away. You ignored austin all day, which wasn't hard considering he was doing the same, and you sat with Alex and Sarah at lunch instead of austin.

The final bell rung and you bolted out of the class room to throw your stuff into your locker. You realized you'd have to walk home since you and austin weren't talking, so you started on the mile journey home. Once you stepped inside you threw down your bag and kicked off your shoes. Walking up to your room you saw your razor so you picked it up and made 16 slashes evenly on both arms, for the number of years of the friendship you just lost. Laying down on your bed the doorbell rang. You groaned but got up and trudged down the steps to answer it.
"Austin?" You say in disbelief at the boy standing in front of you holding a bouquet of red roses, your favorite.
"(Y/n/n), I know I screwed up big time but I was hoping you'd forgive me?" He says holding the roses out. You grab them gingerly and bid him inside. You grab a vase to place the roses in when he clears his throat. Looking at him, he smiles and begins to speak.
"There's one more thing I need to do to say I'm sorry." He says and then grabs your waist pulling you in and bringing his large, soft lips to yours. You two move in perfect synchrony and when he pulls back you immediately blush.
"I've actually wanted to do that since forever but I didn't because I didn't want to ruin our friendship.", He says. " Taylor, one of Meredith's friends told me what happened this morning before I showed up. How your in love with me, and when I heard that I was really happy. I've always been in love with you. Taylor also told me Meredith has been cheating on me since we started dating and when I confronted her she told me straight up she was only dating me to make you jealous. So I dumped her." You smiled and then brought your lips to his again, and you two kissed for a few minutes before he pulled away again.
"There's one more thing." He said lifting your sleeves up and looking at your scarred arms. Leaning down slightly, he gingerly kissed each and every scar.
"(Y/f/n) will you please make me the happiest guy in the world and be my girlfriend?"
"Yes austin." You smile and kiss him again, this time he didn't pull away.
