Chapter Two
Aliza
(Unedited)
“Wake up, Aliza!” My dad banged on my door as he tried to wake me.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
I mumbled in my sleep, saying five more minutes but through the loud banging on the door, he could barely hear me.
“COMING!” I shouted and my dad stopped trying to break the door.
Eissh! How childish, I knew I still had enough time to get ready but my dad’s phobia of leaving the house early so we wouldn’t stuck in traffic was getting on my nerves now. Every morning I had to wake up early because of this, my Dad just can’t understand how much sleep I needed.
I pushed back my covers as the cold air, in my room, hit my warm skin and I shivered. Pulling my blanket around once again, I walked out of my room and into the bathroom, dragging it behind me. Once in the bathroom, I hanged my blanket on the hanger at the side of the wall and slowly, I stretched myself and cracked my bones, not literally of course. I stood still, in front of mirror, staring at my reflection.
I looked horrible with dark circle, that almost made me look like a panda and my bed head, which could have been mistaken for the bird’s nest and not to mention my complexion. It was dry and creased. I looked old. Hell, I wasn’t a beauty queen, normally I’d look good with make up on but seriously I looked like a serial killer without it.
I rubbed my eyes and turned on the water, touching it to see if it’s warm enough.
“Ouch!” No it wasn’t!
I waited for the warm water to run but after a minute I rememebered I was suppose to turn on the left side handle for that. I faced palm myself and did the only thing I could. I washed my face with cold water anyway, shivering like hell, splashing my face with it.
Okay, now everybody would be thinking I’m mad and stuff but seriously I just wasted my one minute on it and now I was too lazy to even wait for another minute for hot water. So, cold water it is! Stop judging me people! I have weird instincts and hobbies.
Oh, although it’s embarrassing but I do stay in the bathroom for like thirty minutes, mostly I sleep on the toilet seat, yeah not classy for a girl but hey, I’m literally addicted to sleep.
“Get out, Aliza!!!” My brother, Dany, shouted through the other side “You’re gonna make us late, get out you slow poke!”
My eyes shot up at the word poke! Now this is plain weird, now I’m listening to words like these ever since the encouter with that lonely guy. Okay, maybe it’s the first time but still it counts. I slammed the door open and stared at my brother, who had his hair all messed up and a scowled covered his face.
“Peace brother, I’m out.” I said, calmly, raising my hands in defeat.
“I’ll seriously kill you! why do you always sleep in there!” He scowled again.
“Oh, shut up! What’s wrong with you? It never mattered to you before if I slept in there or not! Are you on pms?” I chuckled at my joke. He doesn’t seem to think it was funny because he turned into a shade of red. Was it anger or embarrassment?
“Get out of my way! I still need to wash my face!” He pushed me aside and went into the bathroom. As he slammed the door behind my back, I laughed at his innocence.
Daniyal or as I call him Dany, is one year younger than me. We can be the best buddies if we want to or worst enemies of each other, only if we want to. I made my way to my messed up room and sighed in exhausation. I hate arranging my room, it takes a lot hell of energy and I didn’t have enough to spare that.
