Color me (poem)

Color me beautiful.
Because that's all colors.
Take to different colors and see what you get.
Different shades of a dark or light color.
Put color on my skin and tell me you love me and that we're all the same.
Color me like I'm a rainbow, with all the different genders.
Splash some black and white to give it perfection.
I'm not a picture but I am one of a kind so remember me when you lose your color of faith.
Color me like I'm a painting,
And know that there's words as your paintbrush strokes the surface of the picture.
Color me.
Blue because I'm not sad but because I'm free like the waves of the great Pacific Ocean.
Color me.
Yellow because I'm not just happy but I'm fierce like a burning flame.
Color me.
Green because without trees there wouldn't be peace and without peace there would always be a war.
Color me rainbow.
Because why not wear our colors on our backs.
And because I'm free to love who I wish to love.
Color me black and white,
Because that's all you'll ever see,
And not me.
I'll put color over your skin and in your dark heart because that's just a little bit of love to get you through life.
