In accepting where I am, I have also learned to stop and smell the roses. Really stop and really smell; not like sniff and keep going. And, so far, they smell pretty sweet.
You see success, like people, comes in all manners of shapes and sizes. What floats my boat, could absolutely cause you to cringe like nails on a chalkboard. Even with that, just keep reminding yourself to take responsibility for every action. You may not have caused the situation, but if "life happens" on your watch, you are responsible for how you respond or fail to respond... in my best Maury Povich impersonation. Evaluate the situation and make your best determination. Who am I right now? And, where do I want to go from here?
Working with WattmagMagazine has definitely helped me to clearly define where I want to be. Having written several articles, I feel more alive now than ever. I am in my element and my entire being knows it. I am fully aware that I am, and have always been, a Writer. And, I have content to prove it.
So, you may be wondering where's she going now? What's she doing next? Well, I'm glad you asked. (Yes, I heard you. Wait, that may have been one of my characters.) Sorry! But, I'm off to see the wizard. Okay, not so much.
I'm actually in search of my best self ever! I have started to reinvent myself. Remember that IT career I so adamantly hated? Well, I've found a way to integrate my field of study with my skill of hand. I am in search of contractual Technical Writing positions. Yay me!
