I will wait for you.

Wait as the seasons change,

Watching as your feelings change.

Summer to Spring,

Love to hate.

Waiting,

Watching,

Patiently as you evolve in your new role.

While sitting on the sidelines takes its toll.

I will wait for you,

While time erodes me,

Circumstance ages me.

The gods pity me.

Watching you pass by like a movie.

Living life so beautifully,

Empowered by the change it brings.

As angels sing at your joy,

And demons cry at your strength.

I will wait,

I will wait for you,

As you silently asked me to.

I will wait for you,

While ancient cities crumble to dust.

And when times stops,

Life ends,

Here I will stand.

Still waiting for you.
