Blue spotted her hideout. It was quite small: a crack in a large boulder, which was surrounded with other small rocks. It was at the edge of a forest which they flew over. Cobra figured it out that it was her hideout. Clever, and the hole is small. I guess only she could fit in it, he thought, staring at her slim and smooth body. Blue smiled, her eye slanting towards him as if she heard what he thought.
Cobra landed with a thud. He shook his wings and stretched them, since he hasn't flied in quite a while. Blue landed swiftly next to him, flapping her wings. "Here is it!" She said joyfully. "I need to talk to you inside," she said, and slid easily through the crack in the boulder, folding her wings elegantly against her body, as if they were sheets of paper.

Cobra poked his nuzzle in the crack, and realized he was too big for the entrance. Blushing in embarrassment, he whimpered. "Blue..." He is voice echoed in the space. "I can't f-fit," he then said, and retreated his nuzzle. You could clearly hear her giggling bouncing around the walls of the boulder, which made Cobra's eats droop. "No worries," she then said, taking a deep breath from her laughing. "I'll take care of it!"

Then, something Cobra didn't exactly expect, happened.

Blue glitter started bursting and bouncing around the crack, swirling around and sparkling. The crack's outline then flashed a deep purple, and slowly, very slowly, the opening started to widen, little bits and pieces of rock crumbling off the edges.
Cobra's eyes widened as he backed away, never seeing such a thing.
The glitter disappeared after Blue walked out of the boulder's opening. It was big enough to fit two Cobras.

Blue left Cobra speechless. His mouth was left open. "How..." He said quietly. Blue smiled a toothy grin, her eyes shimmering. "Magic!"

Cobra hasn't heard the word magic in years. Unless you count reading the word magic. He only heard that animus dragons could control such incredible power, power that could destroy an entire army with a single touch of your talon.

He even heard that animus dragons, if they use their powers too much, they lose control and bits of their soul starts to fade away. Most of the IceWings had animus powers, but they all disappeared, leaving the IceWings devastated. SeaWings had a couple of animus dragons, too, like Albatross and Anemone. Albatross, for example, was one animus that lost his soul, and nearly killed the entire SeaWings royal dynasty.

"You're..you're animus?" Cobra asked in awe. Blue nodded and smiled cutely. "Well, yeah," she said, not knowing it was a big deal. Cobra stared at her. "That was incredible! I haven't seen anything like this before!" He said, and slowly walked to the cave. His talons softly grazed the surface of the expanded stone, feeling the pressure that roamed in it from the animus power. "Pretty cool, right?" Blue giggled, and walked past Cobra back into her little hideout. He followed.

Cobra sat down on the cold floor, feelings bits of sand against his hard scales. His poison-barbed tail twitched in interest, and his mind was eager to learn more about Blue's powers. Blue sat down as well, putting small twigs that she picked up outside in a small pile in front of them. She spit out a small burst of flames on them, and they lit up nicely.

"I-I have so many questions!.." Cobra started to say. Blue smiled and nodded. "I can tell. You get three," Cobra then tilted his head in confusion. Huh? He thought. "Why...only three?" Asked asked quietly. Blue huffed hesitantly, shuffling her claws. "Because I know you're going to ramble on forever and ask so many questions that I'll fall asleep. Three is good enough. And that was your first question," she then quickly added. Cobra whimpered and stared at the fire, the sparks swirling around him. "Alright, fine..." He said, and decided to choose wisely.
Hmm...What should I ask first.

"Do you have any other powers?" He then blurted out. No! Of course she doesn't, you worm! Aghh! He argued with himself.
Blue's ears twitched rapidly. Her colorful eyes stared into Cobra's, right into him, which caused Cobra to shiver a bit, his tail rattling on the stone floor.
"Umm...Yes," she said, looking down. "I can...read minds. And predict the future."

Cobra didn't say anything. It was a lot to take in. "You..Can..read minds?" He asked nervously, his tail twitching. Blue sighed. "But it's okay, I wanted to tell you that I've decided not to read yours. Seems too boring," she said cheerfully, sticking her ice blue tongue out. Cobra sighed deeply in relief. "And..predicting the future...? How does that work?" He asked curiously. Blue shook her head.
"You don't wanna know.."

Cobra shrugged and quickly started searching for another clever question. So she knows how to read minds. That's so odd...I thought only Moon and Darkstalker knew how to do that.

Then a very familiar image rolled around in his head.

The scroll!!

Cobra remembered the History scroll he read back at the Academy. It all makes sense now! That NightWing/SandWing hybrid...Wait...Don't tell me that's..
