Chapter 59

A Cruel Plan

Dr. Facilier stood at his table with pure anger showing on his face. He slammed his walking stick on the ground and as he shouted, the ground shook. The shadows began to speak out to him.

"Now, now calm down. serves you right for sending in the crab special with a side of calamari." the shadow looked around waiting for a chuckle but no response. "What is this an audience or a mosaic. Any who, look, send another one of us. That's why you brought us here 'cause one of us surly can take down the mouse. Look how about I go, I'm sure I can deal with him."

"No!" shouted Dr. Facilier turning around facing all the shadows. "I have bigger plans for you, What I need is someone to go in and take care of this problem without causing a stir in the world. How about instead we have a woman's touch to our little scheme?" Dr. Facilier looked at one of the shadows. "Go, but take this. I'm sure you know what it is." He threw a long glass pipe that was black with purple cryptic writing on it.

"It's a cigarette holder, Darling? I own one, but not this fancy."

"It grants you special powers. You can control and conjure the shadows of the dead. Now you can kill the mouse." The shadow took the cigarette holder and placed a cigarette in it. The other shadow snapped his fingers and a flame was made, lighting the cigarette. The shadow took a puff from the cigarette.

"Where do I start, Darling." The room was then filled with smoke and evil laughter.

Chapter 60 

eerie fog

Mickey was able to catch up with Naveen and Tiana,who were was into a frog, in the swamps. "Naveen, do you know this mouse?"

"Yes actually, he can help us become human again!" said the Naveen jumping up to mickey.

"Is that so, well then little mouse, you need to hurry and change me back, before I lose all that I have worked for and I can go get my restaurant." Tiana commanded mickey as if he was lesser than her, but he smiled and spoke.

"Well, uh, gosh Tiana. I wish I could but my magic isn't that strong. Luckily I do know someone who can help. We must find Mama Odie."

"Is that your mama?" asked Tiana in a soft calm tone. Mickey chuckled to himself.

"No, no, she is the voodoo queen of the bayou. She might be the only one who can help us."

"Ah, I see. Well, lets be on our way." Tiana lifted her head waiting on mickey to lead the way. "Well? Are we going or not?" Mickey smirked nervously and spoke in stutters.

"Well, you see, I don't actually know the way." Mickey chucked nervously when Tiana made an angry face.

"You don't know where she is!" shouted Tiana with fury. Mickey tried to calm her down when he heard a faint rustling in the swamp. he looked around and noticed a for rolling in. Mickey grew uneasy and spoke.

"We should get moving."

'Where? You don't know where this, Mama Odie is!"

"We'll find our way we just need to head further into the bayou." Mickey stared walking, with

Tiana and Naveen close behind, trying to stay ahead of the fog.

Chapter 61

The Firefly and the Gator

The three continued on the way to the center of the bayou in search of Mama Odie. Mickey looked up and saw flickering lights.

"Gosh, what a lovely sight. reminds me of nights I spent with Minnie looking up at the stars, talking about other worlds." Said Mickey with a smile.

"Other worlds?" asked Tiana curiously. "What you mean by that, in fact where are you from. You don't look or sound like your from around here."

"Oh, I'm from far away." Mickey looked around nervously. Tiana decided not to bug him about it anymore when she finally looked up and so did Naveen.

"Ashe danza!" Spoke Naveen with a smile oh his face. A small firefly separated from the flickering lights. Naveen looked at it then his tongue bolted for it and so did Tiana's. both, unwillingly, followed their tongues. Mickey looked over and the two frogs disappeared. Mickey stared to worry when he heard a faint rustling. he didn't move but he threw a rock and heard a loud yell.

"AH, please don't hurt me or shoot me. Oh please, in  have a wife and kids. well not really but I wanna live!" Mickey looked over and saw a alligator screaming and rolling on his stomach covering his eyes.

"Don't worry I won't hurt you, but why were you stalking me?"

"I wasn't I was watching the firefly's."

"What's your name?"

"Oh, my name is Louis."

"Nice to meet ya, the names Mickey." Mickey heard Tiana and Naveen scream and went to check on them. He saw then tangled up in their own tongues and chucked to himself. Then a voice rang out.

"Hoo hoo, ya'll are deep in a pickle now, ain't ya? Hello, Name's Raymond, but my friends call me Ray. Here let me help ya'll out." he went over and untangled their tongues. "Now, what are ya'll doing so far in the bayou?"

"We are looking for Mama Odie." said mickey

"Mama Odie?" asked louis shaking "She's the voodoo queen of the bayou, with spells and hexes, and all kinds of hoodoo."

"Do you think you can take us to her?" asked Tiana. Ray jumped in before louis could speak.

"First rule of the bayou, never take directions from a gator. Don't worry, we'll help ya, just follow the bouncing butt!" he laughed as the firefly's lead them to mama Odie.

Chapter 62

Shadows in the Smoke

Moving deeper into the jungle and just barley being ahead of the fog, Mickey and his new friends kept Moving till they ran into a giant tree house. when they got there the fog had just caught up with them. Mickey felt uneasy as they said goodbye to the firefly's.

"I have a bad feeling about this." said Mickey.

"Well Darling, you should follow your gut, because it is I, Cruella de Vil! I have a gift for you, darling. Get him!" A horde of shadows attacked them. Mickey was throwing magic as fast as he could, even ray fought back by blasting them with the light he radiated. The shadows were overwhelming Mickey as Cruella walked closer to him. When Mickey's back was turned she grabbed him and knocked his hat away. "Well, now this was easy. Now to drown the rat and make me a new pelt." She drug Mickey toward the water in attempt drown him. Before she could reach the deep end of the water, she was blasted by a powerful spell knocking the cigarette holder out of her hand and pushed her to the ground. Mickey got up and grasped for air. Another blast of magic flew over Mickey and shot the shadows around him making them disperse and leaving Cruella behind. "Where do you think you're going, cowards!" shouted Cruella as she stood up trying to catch her balance. She looked back just as another blast of magic headed straight for her. A blood curdling scream rang out as the magic hit her. When the light dimmed Cruella disappeared and all that was left was the cigarette holder. Mickey picked it up, then went to his hat. He picked up his hat and placed the cigarette holder inside it then placed the hat in his bag. A shadow formed in the smoke putting Mickey on alarm, then an elderly chuckle rang out.

"Hee hee, not bad for a 197-year-old blind lady. Now which one of you, naughty children, has been messing with the Shadowman?" Mickey and Naveen looked at each other and gave a slight nervous chuckle.
