Chapter 63

Gift from the Master

Kazuko caught her pet cat as the stumbled onto their new land. "Gee, Neka." said Kazuko to her cat, "Where do you think we are?" Neka and Kazuko looked around and all she could see was a mysterious forest to her right and a large castle to her left with a parade leading to the castle gates. "I wonder what's going on there." Kazuko stepped forward when she felt she kicked a package with a note that read as so.

"Dear Kazuko and Neka, I noticed that he story you are entering has a great evil in it. I wanted to lend you a hand so I give you your first weapon. I've studied your fighting style with the magic staffs around the tower and I think this specific staff will help you control your magic better. I had a friend forge it for you to allow you shapeshifting powers to be enhanced and more powerful than before. Good luck and please be careful. I know you will get the hang of this quick. -Yen Sid" She unwrapped the staff. It was a long metal staff with a white jewel on the end. it was made of some type of yellow metal with a leather  grip near the top. The staff was about as long as her, maybe a little shorter.

"Wow Neka, Check it out!" Said Kazuko as she grasped the staff she tried a transformation exercise and like Master Yen Sid said she felt more powerful than ever and it didn't cost much strength to shape-shift as it did before. After playing around a bit, she changed back into her human form and went on her way to the castle.

Chapter 64

The Fairies Gifts

Kazuko reached the Castle gates and asked one of the royal guest what was going on. "What's going on? Why, it's time we all came here to celebrate the new princess!" He continued on his way to the throne room and Kazuko looked at Neka, who was sitting on her shoulder, and followed the crowd.

She walked in to blend with the crowd, to see the new princess. A fanfare of trumpets sang out when the king and queen appeared, then a loud voice introduced them. "Presenting, their royal majesties, King Stephan and Queen Leah." the crowd all bowed with respect and Kazuko bowed a second after everyone else.  "And Now presenting, your new princess, Princess Aurora." The crowd stood up to get a better look at the baby princess. Another Fanfare rang out and introduced a royal friend to the king and queen. "Presenting, his majesty, King Hubert and his son, Prince Phillip." King Hubert walked up to King Stephan and gave him  a hug then had Phillip go check on the princess. he made kind of an awkward face towards her, but still presented the gift. Another fanfare sounded off as a ray of light entered the room from a window high in the castle.  "Presenting, the three good fairies. Mistress Flora, Mistress Fauna, and Mistress Merryweather." Three little balls of light came down and took shape as their names were called. The three fairies crowded around the crib then walked to the king and queen and bowed. Flora was the first to speak.

"Each of us shall bless the child with a single gift. No more, no less." she nodded her head then moved to the crib. "Little Princess, my gift shall be the gift of beauty." She waved her wand and a sparkle of pink dust covered the child. Next to move to the cradle was Fauna.

"Tiny princess, my gift shall be the gift of song." She waved her wand and sprinkled the infant in green dust. The final fairy, Merryweather, Moved to the crib. Kazuko looked up and noticed a small black bird came in through a window and circled the room.

"Sweet child, my gift shall be..." Before Merryweather could bestow her gift a strong wind current opened the doors and filled the room. In the center of the throne room a green flame circled where the black bird was and took shape of a woman. The crowed gasped at the sight of this tall green woman in a long black and purple robe. She had a long staff where the bird planted and sat at the top on a green jewel. the room started to murmur until the fairies spoke her name, "Maleficent!"
