Chapter Thirty Eight

"Izuru!" Cherī slammed the door to the side causing said blond and two other people to jump in surprise.

"C-Cherī! What's the matter?!"

"Have you seen Ken?! I have to go back to the World of the Living and I can't leave without him!" She looked around the room but no sign of said wolf.

"You lost him again?"

"I didn't lose him, he just likes to push my buttons and dissapears on me." She growls shaking her head.

"Wait until I get my paws on him— OW!!"

"What were you going to do to me you little brat?!" A black wolf pup snapped at her as she held the spot were she was bitten.

"You damn little mutt!" She snatched Ken up by his scruff of his neck.

"We need to head back home! Why do you always hide here, huh?! Gin isn't the Captain here anymore, y'know!" She sighed held her arm out towards the the men. Ken blinked looking at them.

"What now?"

"Apologize. We caused enough trouble in this Squad that just got a new Captain only yesterday. They don't know us like the others do. So, apologize."

"That's okay, really, there's no need to apologize." Shusuke spoke up, a nervous smile on his face. Ken glared, snarling at him.

"I won't, especially to a Soul Reaper." Cherī sighed when Ken vanished from her hand in flames. She bowed her head.

"He's just as stubborn as my grandfather. I apologize if he caused any trouble." She stood up straight, her eyes widen seeing the time.

"Ah! I gotta go! I'll stop by next time to see how you're doing with being the new Captain, Shusuke. Maybe you can do better then that idiot Gin." She smiled before running out the room. Izuru sighed seeing that smile on her face. It was fake.

"Guess she still isn't over it."

"Lieutenant Kira, that girl.. Who is she?"

"Third Seat Kibune... That was Cherī Zaraki... I was sure you would have heard about her."

"She was at the Captains meeting the other day. Actually she was standing beside Head Captain Yamamoto." Shusuke hummed. A thoughtful look on his face.

"Is she related to Captain Zaraki?"

"She isn't. In fact, she's a noble belonging to two of the four Noble Clans."

"Those being?"

"Kuchiki and Shihōin."

"Is that possible?" Izuru chuckled.

"Her birth mother was a Kuchiki but she was adopted into the Shihōin clan, her adopted mother Yoruichi Shihōin."

"Her father?"

"I don't know much about her birth father except his name was Kuroda. Kisuke Urahara, is her adopted father."

"What about her relationship with your former Captain, Gin Ichimaru?"

"They were close friends... That necklace was given to her by him."

"And the ring?"

"Oh, her friend gave it to her. It means a whole lot to her."

"Who is her grandfather?"

"That would be the Head Captain."

"T-the Head Captain?!"

"Y-you didn't know...?"

Cherī walked out her room soothing out her dress. She didn't bother to see Ichigo or the others for the day seeing as she had chores to do around the house but Tessai had already done them before she returned that morning she had nothing better to do.
