The Next Day

The sun was rising over the Soul Society. Many of the Soul Reapers woke up getting ready for their chores, assignments and finishing up or starting their workload while some of them lazily stayed in bed or were dragging their feet. It was like any other day in the Seireitei.

"Where is that woman?" Tōshirō mumbled with an irritated look on his face. Rangiku sat on the couch recovering from a hangover after a long night of drinking.

"I haven't seen Cherī since she walked out yesterday. She's probably with Captain Kyōraku or Captain Ukitake."

"I doudt that. Both Captains haven't seen her that much since she started her position as a Co-Lieutenant..."

"She's only been here a few weeks and she knows everything about being a lieutenant."

"Idiot, don't forget, she may have been here for a few weeks but she was raised here in the Seireitei. She knows everything about this place."

"You got that right." They looked at the door seeing Cherī standing there rubbing her eyes walking inside the room closing the door behind her.

"Where have you been?"

"I went out looking for a necklace for my ring since I won't be able to get a good grip on my Zanpakutō."

"And after that?"

"Well, Gin showed up and bought it before I had the chance too. The man had the nerve to throw me over his shoulder heading back his squad barracks. I think I fell asleep there and once I woke up I came back here thinking you'll miss having me around." She said sitting next to Rangiku.

"Don't even think about relaxing! You got work to do!"

"Well don't you look adorable when you get angry. I just wanna pinch your cheeks." Both her and Rangiku laughed when their Captain cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

"Rangiku! Cherī! Start doing all the workload!" Tōshirō yelled before walking out the room slamming the door shut behind him.

"Awe! He didn't have to make us do all the work!"

"What do you mean by "us"?! I'm the one doing the workload here!" Cherī snapped carrying a handful of papers.

"The least you could do is help me with these, Rangiku!"

"Wha~?! Don't be so mean Cherī! You're being such a stick in the mud!"

"What was that!? You lazy, drunkard of an old woman!? You better help or else!"

"What'd you call me!?" They glared at each other. The door slammed opened reveling a very annoyed and angry white haired Captain.

"That's enough! Get out of here right now!" Cherī and Rangiku were gone in a flash. It took Tōshirō seconds to realised that he had been conned into releasing both of his lieutenants.

"Damn!"

*~*

"Ah aha! I didn't think that would work. That was a great idea Rangiku." Cherī laughed walking beside Rangiku as they walked away from the Squad Ten barracks.

"Right! Let's go get some sake, Cherī."

"Like I said back at the barracks, it's not even noon yet."

"Come on, you need to loosen up!" Rangiku smiled grabbing ahold of the green eyed woman's hand as they heading towards the shopping district.

"Come on, Cherī! Let's go have a drink."

"I don't think that a good idea, Rangiku. I like sake, yes, but I don't drink all the time like you do. Why not ask someone else to go with you."

"Oi! You never got to meet with the others have you? I'll introduce you to them!"

'She didn't even listen to me...'

"Fine but just this once Rangiku."

"Awesome!" Again Cherī was dragged by her friend heading toward the nearest squad which just so happened to be Squad Nine.

"You're going to like Shūhei, Cherī."

"I thought we were going to invite him than leave? How about you just go in there, tell him then we can go to the other squads."

"Okay, fine." Rangiku pouted leaving Cherī outside the gates of Squad Nine barracks. Cherī just sighed shacking her head.

"She's quite the handfull." Cherī sighed leaning against the wall across from the squads' enterance gates closing her eyes.

"Lieutenant Zaraki." Opening her eyes she saw a messenger kneeling infront of her.

"Yes?"

"Head Captain Yamamoto would like to speak with you right away."

"I'll be there. Thank you." The man was gone.

"You have to leave now?" Rangiku pouted at her walking out the barracks.

"Hey, it's not my fault if the Head Captain needs me. I'll be sure to come back for whatever you're planning."

"Great! I'll be sure to order lots of sake!" Cherī nodded with smile before using Shunpo leaving Rangiku to herself.

'I wonder what grandfather wants with me? I have a bad feeling about this whole thing.'
