It has been exactly a month since the battle between lovers, and at last came the day that had been prolonged for to long. Yang's early retirement, while Blake's hard work in keeping crimes off the streets had a part in it, but after the final preparations the wedding was ready.
Weiss insisted we get them a present, but I said she is my sister my presence is enough. Weiss rolled her eyes, "Honestly Ruby, I am getting them something and don't plan writing your name on it." I laughed, "Of course dear."
Now here I stand at the end of the in a tux with my sister next to me. Yang looked a lot better after all the therapy, and now she looked a lot happier. Sometimes though she'd go into the void when we spoke about work though. Yet today you would see that, she was grinning ear to ear.
As the music kicked off, and Weiss walked down with Blake's arm in hers, I watched as the most beautiful person walk down the isle for the second time. My heart was racing and I never would have thought this was my sister's wedding after seeing Weiss.
After the long boring ceremony, which Weiss elbowed me twice in after passing out, came the fun after party. Now it was supposed to be the Bride and Bride dance but I ran to the DJ stand fast as possible. Everyone was looking at me, and I saw Yang somewhat angry, but she remained cool. I stood straight taking the microphone, " Now I know I am being extremely rude in interrupting one of the most common of ceremony's, but I think this is an exception. Yang, as you all know, lost her arm in a battle just a month ago. She had to retire early, and give up hunting, which is her favorite thing. I've watched her struggle, and it broke my heart." I walked away from the DJ stand and to under the gift table, and pulled a fairly large cart from beneath it, with a cover over it. "Yang, for the past month, I have been out of combat, not only to help you, but to work on this project. I just want my old sister back, and I finally figured it out. I only think it's right for you and your wife to share this dance with all of your body."
With that I ripped away the sheet revealing a bionic arm beneath. Yang walked slowly over to it staring at me with tears in her eyes, "I have your new gauntlets as well, but this arm is like your other arm, it will respond to the way you want it to. Reacts with your nerves, and will do whatever you want it to." Yang ran her left hand over it, "Ruby, is this real?"
Yang was holding back tears, and I nodded, "Yes, you will be able to work again! I just have to put it on, may I?" Yang let out a few tears, and I walked around the cart. I took off her blazer, and undid her button up shirt, revealing her empty side. Slowly I lifted the arm and placed it on the shoulder, and it began to hum attaching itself to Yang. Once the humming stopped I pulled on the arm, making sure it didn't nudge a bit. Everyone watched as it adjusted to the original arm length, and skin color. "Yang, try moving it now," I whispered.
Yang looked at me then down at her arm, and her fingers began moving, I heard a sob escape Blake. Yang started laughing, "Oh my god, I have an arm. I have an actual arm that allows me to do things! Ruby this is amazing!!!" Yang picked me up and spun me around. Everyone was clapping and whistling, Blake ran over and kissed yang holding her right hand. "I even made sure it felt real, from heat to texture." Yang kissed the top of my head.
Walking back to the DJ stand, "Now I believe you two are supposed to dance." Rejoining Weiss I grabbed her hand and whispered, "I told you not to worry about my gift." With that she rolled her eyes and kissed me.
