Chapter 17: Goofy

Maya POV:
I stopped walking when I feel like Josh is looking right through my back. I look back to see Josh smiling like a goofy person looking at something they obsessed with.

"Josh are you ok?" I questioned while waving my hand in front of his face.
"Oh, uh yeah" josh said, messing his hair.
Suddenly Josh pull my hand into one of the merchandise shop.
"Josh, why are we here?" I ask weirdly, usually people go to the merchandise at the end of the day but I guess everybody is different.
"I want to buy you something?" Josh said while pulling me to the headband section.

Josh looking through the row, "THERE IT IS" Josh exclaimed.
I look at the thing that Josh has been looking for..
To find 2 of Goofy Headband..
Josh took the 2 headbands and pull my hand to the counter.

"That would be $40 thank you" the counter lady said. Josh pull out his money but then I stopped him.
"Josh I could pay for it, you payed for the ticket" I said pulling my money and put it in the counter.
"Maya I'm paying it ok" Josh said and put his money to the counter and take my money and put it on my hand.
"You guys are so cute together" the lady said.
I look at Josh's face to see him smiling.
"We're not together" I quickly said but too late since Josh already pull me out of the store.

I pull back my arm, "JOSH WHAT WAS THAT?!" I screamed. "What? I'm sorry Maya to pull you all over the place but I was just make a quick shop for the headband, here" Josh said giving me the headband.

"Why goofy?" I asked. "I just felt that goofy are underrated and I think he look cute on you" Josh said while walking by my side. "Oh, I guess so, but usually boys who take a girl on a date to Disneyland usually bought their girl a Minnie Mouse headband" I said.

"I never knew we're on a date" Josh said smiling. "Uhh, what?? I didn't say that" I nervously said. "Hahahahaha, well I think Mickie and Minnie Mouse relationships are overrated by so much levels you know?? But since I like goofy you'll be Mrs Goofy" Josh said smiling.
I stare at my shoe pretend like I didn't heard what Josh just said.

4 hours later

"ATTENTION DISNEYLAND WILL CLOSE AT 5 OCLOCK" the speaker said.
Josh look at his clock, "we have one more hour" Josh said. "I'm starving! Let's get some food" I said pulling Josh's hand on to one of the food stalls
"Let's get some hotdogs" I said.

We finished our food. "Maya, let's go to the Ferris wheel" Josh said. "I don't know Josh it's getting dark" I said worriedly. "Is Maya Hart Hunter scared of Ferris wheel?" Josh teasingly. " of course not!" I exclaimed. "Well if you're not scared then you would get in the Ferris wheel with me" Josh said challengingly. "Challenge accepted uncle boing!" I said race him to the Ferris wheel place.

We got in the Ferris wheel to expect to be dark and awkward but weirdly Josh and I keep talking how good the sky is tonight and how people look so little from the very top.

5 minutes before the Ferris wheel stopped Josh's hand found my hand and hold it. At first I was tense but then something tell me to go with the flow, do I did and hold his hand.

When we left the Ferris wheel Josh losses his grip from my hand so I pull away my hand from his knowing it was just a mistake.

On the way home, the car rides was alright, not so much talking but Josh and I sing at some of the song that the radio aired but then I fall asleep at the middle of the ride thinking this is one of the best night of my life I was glad we didn't ran onto Bradley today and just glad that tonight was a blast..

Before I fall asleep I mumbled "Thank you Josh" hoping that Josh heard it.
