My parents called last week wanting to meet Sebastian. So we arranged that tonight, one week later, we'd have dinner over at their house. They don't know we're engaged yet, and I need to tell them. I hear the shower running.

I knock on the door. 

"Come in," Sebastian says.

"Seb," I say.

"Yes Baby?"
"We're having dinner with my parents tonight."

He pulls the curtain back. His whole body is in view. His pale face standing out from his olive skin. His eyes widen slightly.

"O-Okay-ay, uh, Chrissy, Baby, Sugar Pie, Sweetheart wh-what do you mean by 'tonight'?"
"I mean that my parents have been wanting to meet you."
"U-um okay, but tonight. Was that a last minute decisi-"
"No they called last week."
"And you didn't tell me...you know what, I'm going to finish my shower and then we'll talk."

He looks at me one last time and then shuts the curtain.
