Just over a week later, things seemed to return to normal. By now Lunar had shaken the entire ordeal out of her mind like water off a duck's back, and Mortem hadn't bothered to give her so much as a sideways glance. She'd be a liar if she said that it didn't hurt but, she can't say that she expected different. Such was the nature of her alpha; he'd already gotten what he wanted, she figured. However, the pain always returned for a moment when she spotted Aura.

Aura spent a lot of time around Khufu since loosing her ability to speak. In addition to her constant distress in Mortem's presence, she had begun to learn sign language from an elder female who'd gone deaf, something she practiced with Khufu often. This worried Mortem greatly.

Alas, the words that she needed she hadn't yet learned... so she often resorted to pulling on Khufu's tail and ears when she needed to try and tell him something urgently.

"What Aura? What is it?" Khufu asked her. Lunar happened to be walking by, and Aura ticked her ears into her direction. Confused, He decided to confront Lunar about it. Lunar, feeling extremely uneasy about his constant interrogation cleverly dodged each question with extreme care. Mortem noticed Aura's behavior, and continued to keep a close watch over her from a distance in which he would be safe from Daichii's claws.

Lunar lied down underneath the willow tree, near her den. A few minutes later, Lamaar approached her. "Hey ol' girl!" He chuckled, tapping her shoulder.

"Ha, hi Lamaar." She replied with a smile.

"You know, Khufu was looking for you--"

"I know, he found me." She said, trailing off.

Lamaar noticed her sudden silence. "What's up?" He said looking closer at her. "You don't seem like yourself."

Lunar got up and walked away. "I'm fine Lamaar." Before she could finish the sentence properly, Lamaar had pounced on her.

"Tell me!" He said tickling her ribs relentlessly. Lunar kicked and squealed struggling out of Lamaar's grip and running away across the ground.

"NEVERRR!" She laughed, the male chasing her.

An hour later, Lunar popped her head out of a large bush, taking a few moments to look around and she if she had been spotted. Much to her shock, she saw Lamaar and two of her other denmates looking around for her. "Oh God, they're in this too?" She said with a hiss. She pulled her head and tail back into the bush, picked up the entire thing, and proceeded to walk away from the search party of three while still inside the bush. It concealed her well, but not well enough.

"Gotcha!" Lamaar growled playfully hurtling into the bush, knocking Lunar out of it. Once her cover was blown, she tore a thorny branch off the shrub and pointed it at Lamaar.

"Get back!" She snarled playfully, waving the branch at him.

"Lunar, we're lycans hun." He said simply grabbing the stick and snapping it in two. "When you got pawpads this thick, thorns don't do shit." Lamaar grinned helping her up.

"That doesn't apply to the rest of our bodies. Remember the porcupine?" She laughed at the memory. "It took three days to get all of the quills out of your ass."

"Don't remind me." Lamaar whined rubbing his hindquarters with a paw. A deep howl tore the air. "Welp, someone's hungry." Lamaar rolled his eyes as he recognised the howl belonging to Mortem. "You comin', Lu?" He asked sarcastically, knowing full well her new rank required her to be there.

"I could use the exercise." She replied, her answer slightly passive aggressive in tone as she began running toward the howl.

Once there, Lunar spotted the lycan king organizing another hunting party. She glared at him. "Didn't we feed you last month?" She huffed in a brassy tone.
