He Saved Me

Chapter 8

I woke the next morning feeling a lot better. It was Saturday and I had the day off. I should have a "me" day. I haven't had one of those yet. It could be so fun.

I got up and took a shower. When I was done I went and picked out some clothes. It looked cold outside. So I decided to wear some black skinny jeans, a red sweat shirt that had Mickey Mouse on it wear some glasses, and red and black Nike. I put my hair up into a pony tail and made a bump with my bangs. Next was my makeup. I put some eye liner on then some mascara. I was satisfied and went downstairs.

No one was up yet so I decided to make breakfast for everyone. I made French toast and some pancakes. I don't like pancakes but Zayn and his mom do. I ate some French toast and drank my orange juice. I cleaned my dishes and went back upstairs. Grabbing my keys, phone, and wallet then left.

On my way to the mall I decided to jam out to G-Eazy. Once I got to the mall I parked my car and head towards the entrance. Once I got in I went straight for the sports store. I should probably get some more workout clothes because I left all of mine at my father's house and I will not go back there. Going into the sports store, I headed to the Women's sports clothes.

While I was shopping started to get hungry. Gabbing my six new sport outfits I walked to the food court. I decide to go to Nandos. I order my food, and waited for it to ready at a table I chose by the fountain. Once my food came I started to eat. This is one of my favorite places to eat. I remember Niall telling me that I had to try it.

I was checking my Twitter when someone walked up to the other side of the table. I looked up and saw a familiar brown hair, blue eyed boy looking at me. I repositioned myself so I could see him better.

"Hi Selena." he said with a smile.

"Hi Umm..."

"Louis. My names Louis." Oh yeah one of Liam's friends.

"Well can I help you?" I asked

"I just wanted to apologize for everything. I know you never did anything to me and I'm sorry. I'm such a cowered for saying all those mean things to you. So I was hoping we can start all over?" he said.

"Sit down." I said

"What?"

"Sit down."

"Oh yeah sorry." he said nervously and sat down in the empty chair in front of me. He folded his hands and looked at me.

"Look I don't want you to apologize for anything. I know you were just saying those things to look cool and I never really listen to you guys anyway. I could honestly care less what people have to say about me. So I guess I can be nice for once and start over." I said and smiled at him.

"Well could I join you for lunch?" he asked

"Sure"

We got to talking and everything. This guy is pretty cool.

We decided to walk around some more after we sat and talked for two hours. We went in some stores and I bought some more stuff that I really didn't need.

I then saw the jewelry store and I instantly thought of Zayn's mom. She has helped me so much in the past couple of years. I decided that I should get her something. I walked into the store and was approached by a young woman that looked like she was in her early twenties.

After I had talked to the lady about what I wanted she started to make it. When that was finally done I decided to go home. It was already dark outside. I said goodbye to Louis and we exchanged numbers. Today was pretty fun. I enjoyed myself.

I got in my car and drove home. Thinking about the outfit I got for graduation I was pretty happy with it. That's the whole reason I really went to the mall. I am so excited for graduation so I can be done with that place.

When I pulled up to my house twenty minutes later I saw that Liam's car was parked in the driveway. Great.

I got out and grabbed all my bags. When I went inside Liam and Zayn are sitting on the couch playing Left 4 Dead on the Xbox. I love that game.

"Hey Lena." Zayn said.

"Hi Selena." Liam said.

"Hi Zayn." I smiled and walked upstairs. I put my bags down and went back downstairs ignoring the two boys then went in the kitchen.

Tricia was sitting on the table with papers everywhere and a pen in her hand. She had both of her hands on her head and her elbows on the table.

"Hi Mum"

"Oh hi Lena. How was your day?" she said a little frustrated.

"It was good. Are you okay?"

"Yeah it's just grown up things."

"Maybe I can help." I said. She looked at me and smiled.

"Well I'm going to be short on my rent again and last time it happened they told me if it happened again we will get evicted." She said running her hands through her hair.

"One second" I told her. I ran upstairs to my bed room. I grabbed a little box that I had under my bed. Opening it I grabbed one of the envelopes that read $400 on it. I have always saved money for emergencies and for things I need. After I put the box back where it belongs I ran back down stairs.

I probably looked like an idiot running back and forth.

"Here you go." I said while handing her the envelope.

"Oh my goodness Selena where did you get this from?" she asked looking at me.

"I have my ways." I smiled.

"You're not into selling drugs are you?" she asked with a concerned look on her face. I just shook my head and laughed.

"Oh and I also got you this to say thank you for letting me stay here." I went to one of the bags and pulled out a little black velvet box.

When she opened it she gasped and looked at me. It was a locket in the shape of a heart. On the front it had hers and Zayn's birthstone on it.

"Open it." I told her. She did and her eyes started to fill up with tears. Inside was a picture of them when Zayn was younger and on the other side said 'The Love Between A Mother and Son Is Forever'

She looked at me then hugged me really tight. "Thank you for everything Lena. You're such an angel."

She ran into the living room where the boys were and I followed.

"Zayn look at what Lena got me." She said sounding like a five year old after getting a new toy. I just giggled at her.

Zayn paused the game and looked at her. She handed him the locket and his eyes widened. "Is this all real?" Liam asked. I just nodded.

Zayn got up and got behind his mom. He split the latch on the back and put it on her. She looked down at it and gave me another hug. She walked back into the kitchen to finish with the bills. I watched her until she disappeared; I turned around to face Zayn. He was looking at me so I looked up at him and smiled.

I looked over at Liam and he was looking at me as well, so I smiled at him too. Then I spoke up. "Well I will let you guys get back to your game. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. Goodnight." They both said goodnight and I ran upstairs.
