He Saved Me

Chapter 14

"You think mom would let me bring Cheryl?" Liam asked me while he was putting his feet on our coffee table. "I probably shouldn't invite her anyways because we aren't that serious yet." He continued. I just sipped my drink and looked at the TV.

It was Saturday finally and I was more anxious then I was before today. We had to strut getting ready soon because it was almost five-thirty. I got up and went into my bathroom to take a shower. Once I was done cleaning everything I hopped out and went into my room. I picked out a black shirt, some grey skinny jeans, and put my black Nike high tops on. I fixed my hair and headed out to the living room. Liam was probably showering because he wasn't where he originally was.

I was sitting on my phone scrolling through Instagram when I came across a picture of Lena getting out of a car. Scrolling down a little I read the caption it said "Selena at the LAX airport today ♥." My heart skipped a beat. Was she coming here? She was just probably going on another business trip. Calm down Zayn.

Liam walked out of his room dressed and ready. "Ready?" I asked. He nodded and I got up. We headed to the front door. Once we were out I locked it and we went to the elevator to go to the garage.

When we got into the garage we both hopped into my car. Liam and I made small talk the whole way there. We talked about this kid that has been making huge progress with his work outs. It's so good to see kid's confidents get boosted. You make them feel like they really belong when your help them.

We finally arrived to my mom's house thirty minutes later. We were a little early but who cares. Pulling into the driveway I parked behind my mother's car. Liam and I both got out of the car and headed inside. The house seemed empty but there was soft classical music playing in the background. What the hell was this a date? We emerged into the kitchen and saw my mom cooking. She looks very nice but why?

"Hi mom." I said. She turned around and gave Liam and me a hug. She put her hand on Liam's cheek. "Your parents are on their way." She said to him. Why were his parents coming too? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? A few seconds later the doorbell rang.

My mum went and answered the door. She greeted the couple as they came through the door.

"Oh I am so very excited!" Keren squealed. She came in gave Liam and I a hug as well. Then Geoff came in after. "Boys." He clapped us both. We all headed to the kitchen and started small talk. A little after we got in there my mums boyfriend came to join us.

A little after that the doorbell rang. Both Karen and my mom both squealed and ran to the door. Liam and I just looked at each other. We all followed with the women and were now in the living room. My mom sung the door open and there she was. My mom swung her arms around her so fast. She dropped her bags and hugged her back. I was in shock, I couldn't move, and I can tell that my mouth hung wide open. I could tell Liam was in the exact same state.

There she was. She was standing there hugging Zayn's mom. After his mom finally let go my mom jumped at her crushing her as well. "Now now honey let's let her breath." My dad said while pulling my mom off of Lena. When she let go my dad opened my arms to her. She took the opportunity and hugged him. After that Zayn's mom introduces Lena to her boyfriend.

Then they all turned to us. "We should leave them." Zayn's mom said. They all nodded in agreement then walked back into the kitchen.

She looked at Zayn then at the floor. Zayn ran to her, picked her up, and crushed her with a hug. I think he began to cry because when she was brought back down she whipped his eyes. He wrapped his arms around her waist and put his head in her neck. She was standing on her tippy toes; she had her arms wrapped around his neck. She looked over his shoulder at me.

We made I contact and I looked at the ground. Looking back I saw that Zayn let go of her and she was walking toward me. My heart started to race in my chest. When she approached me she wrapped her arms around my neck. I wrapped my arms around her waist and put my face in her neck like Zayn did. When she let go she looked up at me and smiled then blushed? God she looked so good.

Calm down Liam you have a GIRLFRIEND. Zayn grabbed her am and we headed to the kitchen. When we arrived we saw that they all moved to the dining room table. Zayn and Lena sat next to Zayn's mom. I sat in between my mom and dad across from Lena.

Man was she beautiful I mean she was definitely beautiful before but now. Wow. Her hair was longer, her eyes brighter, and her smile has always been perfect.

Are you serious right now you have Cheryl? Liked her too and you know that. I shook my head.

"So Selena we see everywhere that you are doing so well." My mom said.

"Oh yeah I am and it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for this man." She said while pointing at my dad. "Well Selena you have a lot of talent on your own I just helped a little."

"And I couldn't thank you enough." She smiled.

"So do you live on your own in New York?" My mother asked.

"No I live in Calabasas now with Harry." She said with a smile. God that smile. She looked over at me then she looked down at her food smiling. Why was she being so shy?

The dinner continued with small talk. Lena would look over at me a couple times and smile. After we were all done with dinner I started to grab everyone's dishes. I walked into the kitchen to start doing dishes. Someone came and stood next to me.

"Mind if I help?" Lena said.

"No. No you're supposed to be on vacation." I said to her. She didn't listen to me and started to dry the dishes.

"You look amazing by the way." I heard her say. What? I looked in her direction with a confused look. She just blushed and looked down.

"Lena look I need to tell you something." She looked up at me with a concerned look. "I have a girlfriend." I said softly. Her face fell really quick. She looked down at the dish she was drying and just nodded.

"I'm really happy for you. I'm sure she's great." Her face didn't have any emotion. Did she not care? It's when she smiled at me that I felt my heart fall. She really didn't care.
