"i'm jealous he thinks that of you and not of me.. and kind of disappointed." dani said through the phone. i was at the grocery store shopping for a few things, my shoulder holding my phone to my ear. i rolled my eyes even though dani couldn't see.
"it was a joke, dani. don't be so dramatic." i said while strolling my cart through the boxed food isle. did we need cereal?
"why do you always have to deny everything? for once, it could be true. you have the hottest boy making an effort to talk to you and all you do is deny, deny, deny. if you don't want him, i'll have him." she huffed and puffed. i smirked.
"fine, take him." i said, looking through the different types of cereals. "cocoa puffs or corn flakes?"
"fruity pebbles." dani said before hanging up. i took my phone and stared at it. what a little bitch, i thought.
i strolled my shopping cart to the self checkout. i paused when i felt my phone buzz in my back pocket; probably dani with her lectures that she gives me every other day.
"@okokalright: paris? london? australia??"
i looked at my phone, shocked and confused. i didn't expect wes to be the one texting me, and why was he asking me about random places? i unlocked my phone to reply to him.
@okokalright: paris? london? australia??

i smiled down at my phone. it was cute that he was still trying to figure out where i lived. part of me wanted to tell him right away to get it over with, but another part of me still wanted to keep it a secret. after all, we made a deal.

my heart sank and fluttered. i didn't know what to feel. wes basically just called me beautiful. usually all the other boys that liked me called me "hot" or "sexy", but beautiful had a totally different effect on me.
i felt somebody tap my shoulder, and i turned around to see an old woman looking impatient. i then realized i was wasting all this time texting and being flustered that i forgot i was checking out my items. i gave her a quick "sorry" and finished checking out. i walked to the car, put my bags of groceries in the passenger seat, and stared at my phone. should i reply?
