Chapter ten~ a little catching up to do

*Lance's POV*
After the long and tiring flight we were finally in Mississippi. I got the address that I had found in my dads phone to were my mom lived. We were very close it was only like 10 minutes from the airport. We rented an uber and headed to her house. "This is it bro it's time to be with your real family" manny said patting me on the back. Yeah I can't wait I said quietly. "Hey what's Wrong aren't you happy we're here lance" Jessica said. "I've just been thinking about what my mom said that i shouldn't come live there that her husband is as bad as my step mom was". "I'm sure it's not that bad and pulse your mom seems better then your dad I'm sure it will be okay dude" manny said. "I hope you guys are right". When we arrived we payed the driver and got our luggage out. We were right in front of her house it looked old but nicer then my dads apartment. It was a small and yellow house, with only one floor, Maybe a basement. "Okay come on you can do this be brave" Jessica said. "Alright here it goes" I say walking up the front porch steps. The steps creaked one after the other as I gat more nervous each step. But I did it I rang the door bell. Then herd people walking over and that's when my mom opened the door. She was so surprised she started crying. "All I says was hi mom it's me lance I made it, and I've been waiting so long to see you". She hugged me tight, I put Benny down and he ran inside. "Oh sweetie I'm so sorry" she said over and over. "It's fine mom I'm okay I'm here aren't I". "Yes I know and we know everything that happened it's all that's been on the news". That's when we sat down and she flipped on the tv. "Lance hi I'm your sister Lauren I don't know if you know cause I actually just found out and I"...." yes I do your one of the reasons I wanted to come" I said cutting her off. She ran over and hugged me to so I had mom and Lauren on either side of me. "I'm so sorry it looks like your have been living hell Lauren said watching the tv". "Oh yeah you can call it that you just don't know how happy I am to be here right now". As we cried and hugged for a few minutes I then said "oh by the way guys this is my friend Jessica and manny I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them". "Oh hi guys it's very nice to meet you" mom said. It felt weird saying mom I've never had any one to call mom before, and I was certainly not calling my dad's ex wife my mom. "I'm so sorry again and I know I told you not to come but there is no other home for you now you will just have to be with us and that asshole on the ground". My mom pointed to a guy laying on the ground there was a few beer bottles lying around to. "Who is that" I asked. "My step dad he's such a jerk I hate him so much he is the reason I wanted to move in with you" Lauren said. "Yes I've wanted to send her with you for so long the only reason I stay with him is for Lauren for us to have a home". "That sounds awful I'm so sorry but now that I'm here i had to deal with way worse so I will stand up to him" i said. "No you don't want to do that he will probably trough your things out on the street or board up your bedroom door" I said. "Wow we really have a lot to catch up on I said laughing a little". "Hey you guys don't mind if I stay here with them and talk for awhile do you" I asked manny and Jessica. "Oh no it's fine we understand it's your first time seeing them get to know each other" Jessica said. Oh thank you kids you can go down the hall we have an extra bed room with 2 separate beds if you would like to get some sleep". "Oh yes we are so tired thank you" manny said grabbing there stuff and heading down the hall. "Your friends seem nice unlike mine who is a backstabbing bitch" Lauren said . "Im sorry sounds like girl trouble I said". We talked and talked for a while about random stuff it felt nice i actual fit once felt safe and at home. I've never really felt like that before so it was a good feeling.

*Lauren's POV*
After he came in and we hugged for a while we talked over and over about stuff like sports school food friend everything! Mom kept on saying how handsome he has become and what a nice person. He said it was probably not from our dad. "You know how amazing it is to have a twin I've always wanted to do the twin switch. it would have helped so many times even tho your a boy and I'm a girl we still could have made it work". "Yeah same that would have been really cool" lane said. "Now tell me are you good in school like academically" mom asked. "It's so so it's kind of hard to be when you are living with my dad and his ex wife" Lance said. "Yeah but you are good at sports" she asked. "Yes I am I love soccer that's one of the things I'm going to miss the coach he was like a friend to me he was always there to help outside of the game". "Oh well once I in roll you in this high school you will fit in perfect Lauren all ways tells me how amazing the school is at sports and how many there are". "Yes but I will never join them cause u will suck I said laughing". "Okay well this has been so nice and I want to get to know you more and catch up with everything. But it's really late and I can tell we are all tired. So let's go and get some rest guys" mom said. "Okay I will get the blow up mattress for him to sleep on just for tonight" I explained. "Okay goodnight sweetie i am so glad you are hear I wish you could have came sooner I missed you growing up and I regret that everyday" she said kissing Lance on head. "Thanks you and I've missed you so much to" He said smiling back. I was so happy this was amazing it was like we were actually a family again like we had been years ago. But of course my step dad had to wake up and ruin it. "What's going on what's happening who is that am I seeing double looks like a boy Lauren" he said. I grinned at him. "Oh sweetie your just drunk come on let's get you to bed" mom said putting her arm around him as he walked. "I swear I see them if that is true it must be awful with to Lauren's" he said as he clasped on mom. She dragged him into the bed room and placed him down on bed. "Wow what a jerk and isn't he going to find out eventually that I'm living here" Lance said. "Yep that's my life and yeah but for now let's just wait till morning to tell him" I explained. We walked in my room and I placed it right near mine. of course he was lower but it would be dark anyway to see each other when we talk. We both laid down and talked for hours we didn't care that we weren't getting sleep I was just so happy he was here with me. We were like eat friends I guess that's why they say your twin is you're best friend. I just never knew it was true. He was also very funny and told good story's I had a felling we were going to get along great!
