Chapter nine~ some shocking news

*Lauren's POV*
It was crazy what was happening but it was so romantic. Matt just played his guitar for hours and we talked about random stuff. He eventually came in and sat next to me on my bed and played his guitar. Every once and a while I would here my step dad running over banning on the door to shut up! But we ignored it I just stared into his eyes as she he stared into mine. "Alright beautiful it's getting late my moms going to kill me if I stay out any longer" he said. "Wait don't go I mean I'm sorry I just feel happy for once with you here" I say as I grab his hand. "Okay maybe I could stay a little longer I'm just glad your not still mad at me for kissing you" he said. "I was never mad to it was so soon and unexpected that's all". "Okay good and I'm sorry again" he said as he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight. "Your so sweet I can't imagine you being with a girl like Maria" I said. "Me either I guess I just feel into her trap like all her other ex victims I mean boyfriends" he said. We both laughed. I herd my phone rig but I saw it was just veronica again so I hit ignore. "Are you just not going to talk to her again" he asked me. "No it's complicated girls can be like that I'm just so mad at her for taking Maria's side we have been best friends for as long as I can remember". "Well being friends that long eventually your bound to get into fights trust me that's what happens with all friends". "Eventually you guys will make up don't worry you can't be mad at each other forever" he said. "Thanks Matt but I don't know she went pretty far with this one I don't think I can forgive her" I said. "I'm sure you guys will now hey I really have to go okay" he said. "Okay go be carful it's dark out". "It's okay I don't live far I will be fine bye Lauren see you tomorrow at school" he said. He kissed me in the check and jumped out the window with his guitar. I slowly snuck out to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. I looked down the hall to see my step dad passed out on the couch with beer Bottles all on top of him. What a reck I thought. I went back in my room and laid down. I just listened to the planes as they flew above coming in and taking off. There was an airport not to far from here that's why we could see them so low. I would know I always dreamed of leaving this place going to live with my dad and my brother I never new I had until now. It was weird saying I have a brother I never said that before. Anyways eventually I feel asleep but woke up at 2 in the morning to some strange and unexpected sound. I got scared and thought we were being robbed but instead it was just my mom and my psycho step dad yelling at her. I slowly peeked out me door to see what was happening. It was late and I rubbed my eyes to see. "Listen your drunk you need to calm down this is not something you want to be doing just calm down my" mom yelled. "No way Keira either you come and sleep with me again or else Ill kick you out". "Please know I've had enough of that I don't like it and you know that she cried". "Oh shut up and come with me!" He grabbed both of her arms and pulled her close. He pushed her and she struggled to get away. But before he could do anything disgusting I grabbed my pillow and hit him right in the head! "Get off my mom" I screamed. "Hey stay out of this me and your mother are doing stuff you can't understand" he said tripping over some couch pillows that were thrown on the floor. "No asshole your drunk you get drunk all the time and you need to stop it's not good for any of us" I yelled. "Now you listen here this is my dam house I'll do what I want to with who I want to"! "No not with my mom okay leave her alone please". "Lauren go back to bed I can handle this I don't want you get involved and get hurt please sweetie go to your room" mom said. "No I can't stand to see you like this so unhappy and being treated like crap" I said back. "He is drunk and doesn't know what he is doing just stay out of this please" she begged me. "No I won't not until this ends". That's when he came running over and feel on me. At first he tried to attack me but then he just feel asleep right on top of me. I pushed him off quickly and kicked him a few times but he was out cold. "Oh thank god we are safe from him for now" I said. "Yes I know and you are right sweetie I hate him so much". "Then why say with him huh?" I asked. "Because he gives us a home we would barley have enough money to live in an apartment" she explained. "Yeah but still this is not a good life I'd rather just be out there then in here with him". "I'm sorry sweetie I am I've been trying to get you to be sent over with your father but apparently it's worse there". "I also didn't want to tell you this until tomorrow. but since your up and I know when you get up it's hard for you to fall back asleep" she said turning on the tv now. "Yeah well it's hard for me to fall asleep in this house in general but why are you turning on the tv" I asked. "I recorded this story on the news something they say that has been going on for a while". She clicked play and right as she did I saw a news reporter with a Picture of a guy in the corner with the name dan Sullivan! "Is that my...dad yes it is, and he is being arrested for a long time" my mom said finishing my sentence. "So it's really true he's a criminal". "Yes he was always so bad and did terrible things that's why I left him. But he wouldn't let me take both of you and your brother so I only got you" she said. "So what is happening to my brother" I asked. "Just watch this video explains everything". The girl said all of my fathers crimes. Such as child abuse, shop lifting, smuggling illegal things from other country's. She said how this has been going on from 1995 up till now. Then his wife went on and talked. "I have known dan for a long time he was a great man until this past few years he has been acting terrible and not treating me with respect I deserve" she said as she went on. "Although I haven't been so great either he has been worse and made me take out my child's collage fund to pay for his bail". "But not this time I'm already getting a devours I'm done with dan Sullivan" she said. "Okay thank you now back you Jan" the laddie said. "Okay so now that's all covered dan Sullivan did have a son that lived with him. But not only that a daughter who lives with his ex wife. But as far as we know the kid is not going to any orphanage or anything like that. He is now on his way to Mississippi to live with his mother and sister as far as we know" she explained. "No way he is coming here did you know about this" I asked. "No I did talk to him but I told him not to it was to bad for him to live here but I guess it's to late he is already on his way" mom said. That's when the door bell rag and we both jumped. "Do you think thats him!" I asked as I looked over at her. "Only one way to find out now this is going to be interesting" mom said as she went to open the door. When she did she almost cried when she saw him so did I for some reason. He was with 2 friends and what I'm guessing was his cat. "Hi mom it's me Lance I've waited so long to meet you". Right as he said that she hugged him tight and said I'm so sorry sweetie I really am. Then he looked at me and we just stared at each other for awhile. We were so amazed all of us in one room like we had been so long ago. But we cold barley remember that we were so young. I couldn't believe what was happening!
