Bloodline

Chapter 22

Ash: 

I opened my eyes to find three concerned faces looming over me. "Hey," I said, my voice hoarse from lack of use.

"Look," said Sammy," your arm's down to normal size!" It was. It almost looked normal except for the fact that I had an IV and my arm was black and blue. 

"How long was I out?" I managed to croak.

"The surgery took about forty-five minutes. Then you didn't wake up for another fifteen," answered Jenna. 

After a moment, Jenna smacked her head and exclaimed, "I was supposed to tell the nurse when you woke up. I'll be right back." She walked out of the room muttering to herself.

"Are a lot of people hurt," I asked.

Sammy looked at Drason who said, "A good amount." 

"How are we suppose to defeat Jordan if a lot of vampires can't do it together?" Sammy asked.

I thought for a moment. "I have an idea! Where's Dylyn?" I said excitedly.

"last time I saw him he went to the Snack Shack," Drason said.

Dylyn:

I sat on the bench just outside the shack, cradling my head in my hands. I can't keep allowing Ash to get hurt. I have to keep her safe. 

I let out a sigh and leaned back, closing my eyes. 

"Dylyn."

I jumped. Turning around, I saw Drason. 

"Sorry," he said. "I didn't mean to scare you." He walked around and sat down next to me.

"That's okay." I let my mind wander once more, trying to find a way out of this mess. 

We sat in silence for a little while until Drason said, "Ash's awake. She want's to talk to you."

I sprang up. "She's awake?" 

"Yeah. She told me to come find you. I think it was pretty urgent. You should probably get up there as fast as you can."

Without a word, I flung my wings out and gave a mighty flap, sending me a few feet in the air, and I flew toward the vampire infirmary.

Hey guys its me the author! I just wanted to say thanks to all of those people who waited patiently all summer for me to come up with a whole new plot. The thing was, the old plot was really boring so I had people give me ideas then had them vote. Now you guys get to have a really big surprise. There is going to be a HUGE plot twist at the end but don't look for it because you won't guess it! I love you guys! Thanks for following me and my book!
