Sitting at my desk I type useless words yet again. Day in and day out, I'm at my desk doing reports on whatever I'm given. Now a days its just all the same thing, money, fame and food. I don't even read my reports anymore. I mean what's the point? My boss doesn't check my reports either, I could literally write about ice cream and he wouldn't care. I just type until the clock strikes 8pm. Sometimes I stay late because I don't want to go back to the emptiness of my house but I do anyways.
I live alone in a rather big house. I don't have enough furniture to cover even the living room so some rooms are just covered in spider webs. My fridge is usually only half full and my cupboards only have enough to get me through the week. But overall I guess its alright. I have no neighbors and my street is usually really clean and quiet. There is this one guy I always see on my way home though.
He has blonde hair and is rather handsome to be honest. His eyes are big and I could just stare into them for days. He always wears a mask on his face. I always wonder why. I'm not sure how old he is, or where he even lives, I usually just see him when he crosses the street the same time as I do. I think he may work at my building but I never looked into it. For now I just call him mystery man. I tell my friend Yerin all about him but sometimes she doesn't really care.
She doesn't care about allot of things I have to say to be honest. She usually just talks to me about what she wants the leaves. I mean one years she forgot about my birthday. But I still call her my friend. Why? I ask myself all the time.
With a sigh I look at the time, 10pm. Shit, I never walk outside at this time. I shut down my computer and grab my bag and coat. I rush outside and put it on. A cold wind hits my face and I shiver. The street lights guide my way and I make it across the street. I look forward and I remember that if I take the long way, it'll take 20 minutes at least to get home. But there is an alley way I can take that will take almost 10 to 15 minutes. I cut a corner and turn down that alley way. Looking down it, only a dim light is at the end of it. Besides that its pretty dark. I gulp and walk down it. The rustling of the wind gets me all jumpy. "Miss, are you lost?"I hear from behind me.
"No"I answer and rush father down the alley. I don't know who that was and I'm kind of scared to find out. I finally reach the end and I see my house. I breath a sigh of relief and slow my pace. I get up to my doorstep and reach for my bag. I look out behind me and don't see anyone. I look down into my bag but I notice something out of the corner of my eye. I grab my key and look down. A little kitten is inches away from my feet. The kitten is a soft shade of blonde and has gorgeous round eyes. The kitten sits down and looks up at me.
Should I keep it? Or should I just leave it outside?
