The End: Empty

Alyx got up from her bed running up her stairs desperately, she ran around looking for her keys to her car. Once she found them she ran to leave her apartment, but she stoped in her tracks. Why are you stopping? You know she loves you. Why did you stop? Just fucking go Alyx. She reached her hand out to grab her door knob and as she held the door knob she imagined it to be Jenn's hand. She squeezed it lightly as if Jenn was actually there.
"I'm coming for you, you adorable bean."
Alyx walked out her door, locked it, and ran to her car. She raced to Jenn's house, she probably ran about 2 red lights but who would know, it was already 11 at night and Alyx was desperate to tell Jenn how she really felt. Even if Jenn didn't want to be with Alyx anymore, she just needed to tell her that she loved her. Im in love with my best friend and she's in love with me. Isn't that something? It sounds like something off a fairy tale. Falling in love with your best friend was unexplainable to Alyx all she knew was that she loved every time there hands touch or every time they sat next to each other regardless of having more room. She loved being with Jenn, she loved Jenn. She always wanted to talk to her to see if she was okay. Alyx was always there for Jenn, even if Jenn talked about a guy who she was messing around with. It broke Alyx's heart when she did that, but she didn't mind, as long as Alyx was with Jenn. Alyx had finally reached Jenn's apartment structure, and as soon as she looked up to see the building her heart dropped. She got out her car and tried to reached in her pocket for her phone but it wasn't there. She had left it at home so now she couldn't even try to call Jenn one last time before she had to do this face to face. Why aren't you moving Alyx she's just up there for me...probably. So Alyx started to walk up the stairs and make her way to Jenn's apartment. She stood in front of her door with her hand curled up into a fist like she was going to knock on the door but stopped. Instead she whispered,
"Jenn. Please. Come to the door." The brunette stood in front of the door and finally knocked......... No answer. She knocked again this time lightly saying her name......... no answer. Alyx was nervous from this, why wasn't she answering the door? Jenn wouldn't ever sleep this early. Alyx frantically started to knock on the door.
"Jenn. Please Jenn I'm sorry I'm, I'm so fucking sorry, I love you. I love you a lot Jenn. You are the reason for happiness being in my life. I love you Jenn, please answer the door. I love you, I love you so much Jenn, just answer the door so I can see your face and say I love you." ALyx waited patiently for an answer. She rested her head on the door and bit her lip trying not to cry. Her she was confessing her love to the girl she loves and she couldn't even come out the door. Alyx cried quietly, she turned around and instead of going home she sat in front of the door. She curled up, with her knees touching the bottom of her chin. Her arms were rapped around her legs, she gave out little sniffles that were from her trying not to cry. She thought about her best friend, the way she always wanted to be with Alyx. She thought about the way she Jenn always gravitated towards each other. Jenn and Alyx always met with each other no matter where they were or the time it was. The 2 always found each other, Alyx had bitten her lip and squeezed her legs.
"I love you.." Alyx said with a shaky voice. She didn't have the energy to get up after that. Alyx just kept replying her finest memories with Jenn till she finally stopped crying and slept at Jenn's door. She imagined sleeping next to Jenn, but she wasn't even close to Jenn, she wasn't even home. Alyx had been sleeping with the memories and the memories only. She spoke to an empty apartment.
