Oh if I could take you by the hand

I'd walk you through this precious land

To show you that life is not so bad

To make you smile, be free and feel glad

For it is with our friendship lies the great reward

The calmness of the boat that's gently moored

We rock, we sway but never broken

Our foundation solid, I extend this token

Please don't fail to see the gift in things

That the angels on their wings do bring

The sun rising in a clear blue sky

A warm smile from a stranger who passes by

The birds singing sweetly in a large oak tree

Take a deep breath, knowing you are free

The beautiful silence on a mountain top

The mesmerising calmness of a ticking clock

A privilege to watch a flower bloom

The wonder of seeing the glistening moon

The unconditional love of a child so sweet

Who sits and listens at your feet

To tales and magic of a far away place

You brought that smile to their innocent  face

Remember the child deep within you

Who needs to be nurtured, loved and feel new

So let me take you by the hand

One thing is certain, your path is never planned
